    More 73+ disc conversion questions

I would just run the original (rebuilt) 73+ calipers unless you plan on Autox or a track day. These brakes are enough for a street car. Make sure that you get a prop valve or just go with an adjustable version.

Or you could buy these. Bolt in and ready for alignment. Come with bushings and ball joints. http://www.ebay.com/itm/110937751485?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649#ht_500wt_949

    Large upper ball joints???

I have not heard of any kind of conversion ball joint. On the early cars 72 and under the threaded sleeve that the ball joint screws into the opening is 1.60" give or take and the later cars sleeve is bigger than 1.75", I can't remember the exact measurement. So there is no way a large ball...

    4 wheel disc master cylinder?

I am just running the stock manual unit still. I should install a proportioning valve, although my brake bias seems pretty good. I am running skinnies up front with 325 drag radials in the back.

    Wheel Bearing Stuck on Spindle

Bearing puller is the best way. After you get it removed from the spindle feel for burrs or grooves in you spindle. If you have some just take a little emery cloth and clean up the surface until the bearing slides with just a little resistance. It is strange that the seal stayed in the hub...

The dart has rear disc brakes. Wahoo!!!!

I wouldn't even consider something like that. That's just wrong. Although I would love to have used an 8 3/4 suregrip, but at the time I couldn't find one and a 9" go for around $100 around here.

The dart has rear disc brakes. Wahoo!!!!

Me and a buddy made up a jig one night at work using metal from the scrap bin and machining it. Worked pretty good.

The dart has rear disc brakes. Wahoo!!!!

I know what you are thinking. Not another 9" conversion. As most of you know when I got my dart it was a hack job basket case. I have kind of went overboard with the rearend and suspension and abody 8 3/4 rears don't exacly grow on trees around here. The rear brakes are from a ford exploder...

    Explore rear disc brakes

I am doing this swap also, but it's going on a big bearing 9" under the dart. I pulled mine from an Exploder for $40. The only issue that I am going to have is getting the fords parking brake cables tied into the darts cables and make it look good. Looking forward to pictures.
