Awesome A-body air dam for under $30!

Yes I had to reduce the width by 4" it was a Ford truck or SUV but I don't remember which model. It fit very nice and I didn't even mind the 2 places where I used small alum plate and rivets to put it back together.

Awesome A-body air dam for under $30!

I put one on my fiberglass tilt front on my racecar. The one I bought I had to take either 4 inches out of it. It's exactly 3" off the ground

    Cross-Country Road Trip in a '68 Barracuda

All I've ever needed going up or down the rockies is a little additional timing. I lived in the Springs a few years and would always have to change timing after coming down Raton Pass to the flatlands (69 Charger R/T). One other time in a 455 Olds 98 Regency the thing actually quit before I...

    Driving my son's Hellcat

My close call!! In 68 I ordered a 69 Charger R/T and since I wasn't living local gave the dealer owner explicit instructions not to put any advertising on it. When I went to pick it up a shop guy was standing at the trunk with a drill in his hand to add the metal dealer name. I think everyone...

1968 Barracuda Headliner HELP SOCAL shop referral

Buy one and install it yourself. Just take your time, if you have minor wrinkles spray lightly with clean water with a hand sprayer. They should smooth out. We installed one is my son's Ebody and it came out great.

NOT MINE - Hemi parts 392 others

331 vs 354. If I remember correctly the 331 Chrysler has a cast bellhousing that is cast as part of the block. It sticks out a few inches from the block, maybe 4 or 5. I remember this from helping a friend build a Dragster Chassis back in the late 50's.

    Carnage to the Duster today!

Reminds me of a friend when I was growing up. He bought a new 59 Vette and every time it clouded up he put that vette in the garage.

Welded differentials.....who is willing to admit that they have done it?

Back in the 50's in my 32 with 283 chev the lowest gear I could get for an banjo ford was 4.44. I wanted to go lower so I got a 5.38 Willy's rear and welded it up wouldn't last long at all had it welded several times and finally bot a chev rear and found some 5.13 gears. Twisted several...

Girls and Boys your DREAM motorhome....................

When those things were new I thought they were the neatest in the world. I wanted one for years. In the late 90's I found one in Alabama the body was in nice shape but all rubber gaskets were bad and the brakes needed work. I passed. One of the gripes always heard with the mopar engines was...

    Drag Racers — 1958

Brings back memories, during that era there were 3 country leading C/A coupes, 2 of them show up in that footage. "High and Mighty" , "DCB" Coupe and Billy Rasmussan (sp) in his "Going Goat" which was powered by a small hemi. That was my goal every year was too keep up with them as they...

    1967 barracuda 383 4spd on CL

My father had a 67 Hemi Charger that had the small spoiler on the rear deck. It's the only one I've ever seen. It looked factory.

    I'm confused.

And then there was the slide of the Cuda name. I know in 73 (not sure about 72 & 74) there were some Cuda'a produced with 318's and 3-speeds on the floor. There were not many built If I remember correctly there were only 37 built in 73. My son happens to have one. Before we learned how rare...

    Cam warpage

Several years ago I had a Crane cam that was .035 out because a rod bumped it. Crane said they would straighten it free, said simple process and said that all their cams were checked and straightened if necessary before shipping.

    2019 Superbird

I smile every time I read about the Daytona's and Superbird's. I have never seen a restored one that even came close to the crappy workmanship that were on those cars. I'm sure even Graveyard Cars would have trouble purposely building one that looked as bad as those cars did. They had...

Went to see a 68 Barracuda notchback black on black

The side stripe must have been available on all cars. I have a 68 6cyl Notch that has the same stripe and I know mine is all original. The light on the rear valance is a high intensity tail light. I lived in Belgium for a few years and because of frequent heavy fog all of the american cars...

    80 & 85 mph speed limits

The interstate limits in Louisiana are 75 in rural areas. I believe the State Police backed raising them from 70. Supposedly the accident rate has been less. I don't know if this includes the bad stretch of I49 south of Alexandria where hydroplaning is unbelievable and many single car...

    Interior Trailer lighting

Our local Sam's has 4' LED lights which look like they would be ideal for trailers. I have four 4' neon lights in my trailer and am seriously considering replacing them with the led lights. My son bought one set and it puts out a bunch of light.
