    Everything you have described so far is or is related to the charging problem. Electronic ignition likes 12-13 volts. If your ammeter is showing a drop during accelleration, it's not getting the required voltage for the ignition system to function properly. Fix your charging problem and it...

    wont start in park

    Welcome to the board. I'd start by diconnecting the shifter from the transmission selctor arm and shoving the selector arm all the way into park. After that, attempt to start it again. That will tell you whether or not it is a shifter adjustment problem which is fairly common.
