    which shifter handle ?

I like the looks of the factory one better and if it is the one that works better for you thats the way I would go. Another thing I did was take out the vac gauge in the center pod and put a tach in it.

    Hard shift into second

Should not hurt your times to much, if you do it right.

    Aluminum Parts

No but my Dart has scars from just such an event. Looks like some thing your lucky to walk away from. A scatter shield is on my list when I start uping the HP.

    Aluminium Flywheels

I have not but know people who have. Machine shop should know what to do and where.

    Aluminum Flywheels Good Or Bad

It depends. Whats your combo, hows the car going to be driven, street/strip? Just depends. Good read here. http://www.tiltonracing.com/content.php?page=faq&view=3 Down side is you will have to give her a little more RPM off the line. Even that depends on your build and how light you go.

    z-bar interferance

    3sp???

A lot of A bodies cam with 3 speed trans. Either floor or column shift. Should be easy to find one for a slant. A little harder for a V8. I gave my slant column 3 speed away.

Clutch pedal will not come back

Pedals are the same so far as I know. Z bar is different I think slat VS V8.

    Steel or Aluminum?

Sounds like a good combo for one to me. Will rev quicker and free up some HP and with all that TQ you got should not have much trouble getting up and going. Check out this link. http://www.tiltonracing.com/content.php?page=faq&view=3 My dad runs there 7.5 in clutch and lightened flywheel...

    Steel or Aluminum?

What motor? How much power and torque? Would be the trick set up for a SB stroker motor.

    muncie behind 440

I thought it was strange too but thats what he said. I thought they had aluminum cases for the 833?

    muncie behind 440

I know a guy with an El Camino 400 4 speed. Forget what Munci he had but from what he told me parts were hard to find for it.

    passion performance 5 speed

I gave up on all this 5 speed stuff. The ones that are out suck and the ones that are not out, Well there not out and may never be out. My A-833 is a good trans and will not cost me 5 +K to rebuild.

    69 Dart trans crossmember

Thanks you. don't know for sure but I think it mounts to the trans a little differently. I should of paid more attention when I took my 75 Duster apart. Some one here will know for sure.

    69 Dart trans crossmember

The one on the far right looks like a 73+ spool mount to me. I would use that one if you are going to run the spool K member.

Making a 11" flywheel work on an A body...

That would be the way to go. It would take a lot to make it work. That and you don't realy want your flywheel to be any bigger. The farther out you go the more power it takes to turn it. Here is a good read on it. http://www.tiltonracing.com/content.php?page=faq&view=3

    Clutch Issues - No Burnouts

The pedal on my car was sticking down on me. Turned out the Z bar mount in the inner fender had come loos and the linkage was binding up. Just some thing to check.

Question on 3 speed floor to 4 speed conversion

Three on the tree will have an auto hump. But a 3 speed on the floor hump is the same as a 4 speed one.

    5-speed options

Thats good news. I want one!

    Aluminium Flywheels

Thats what I am doing. Stock 340 with a stock flywheel. Works great. But when I do up my stroker motor I am going as light as posible with the clutch and flywheel. But thats just me. I am a crazy nut about weight loss. I know my dad just loves his 16 pound clutch and flywheel set...
  25. Burntorange70

    Aluminium Flywheels

If your car don't have enough power then you don't need to be woring about this stuff any way. Just put the stock stuff on it and drive the sucker.
  26. Burntorange70

    Aluminium Flywheels

That does not sound right to me at all. Adding more weight will only make you loose HP and drag the motor down. It will RPM quicker with less weight. http://www.tiltonracing.com/content.php?page=faq&view=3 Here read this link.

    Aluminium Flywheels

http://www.tiltonracing.com/content.php?page=faq&view=3 It will help a lot. Lighter is better. My Dad went from a 35 pound clutch flywheel set up to a 16 pound one from tilton. It did help free up a lot of power.
