i jacked up the rear end, but did not check to see if the wheel moves freely. i'll check that today. I have a lot more time today to work on the Dart, so i'll be looking more in death now. preying it's not the rear end thats bad.

i should've been more specific. generally $800 will buy a non rebuilt rear end, possibly needing some break work. $1200 range will normally buy a rebuilt rear end with or without a sure grip and rebuilt breaks….. what o you think about those prices? i can always rebuilt the breaks...

Nice setups guys! I see that most of you are not mixing and matching cable and stock linkages.....? Hmmmm. I guess ill either have to buy a lobar throttle linkage setup, or put back my old kick down linkage..... What do you guys think?

I have a lokar style kick down linkage and bracket but I was really wondering if I could run that cable driven kick down with a stock throttle cable? I guess I can always go buy a lokar throttle cable also but was wondering if the two can be mixed and matched?

By snug I mean that the wire harness is too small and even if I use all my strngth to try to push it on, it will not budge. It appears to have the 3 prongs just as the switch does, however the switch on the transmission is definitely a little bigger. I dot think it is a huge difference like...

The engine and transmission are both out of the same '89 dodge van. Is that why the switch doesn't fit? It is a little too small. Unless I hammer it on, I don't believe it will fit.... Not sure what to do now, but at least I know why it is not starting. Any ideas?

If the neutral safety switch Is not plugged into the transmission will the car still start? And are the 904 wires different from the 727?

Well I have some really nice five spoke wheels and low profile tires on my current setup. I will definitely keep the 8.8 in mind, but I am not ready to go that route yet. If I can't find a mopar rear end at that point, I'll look for the 8.8. Very good info for me guys thanks for the help!

I see. After reading the 8.8 sticky thread, I think I would need a lot of help to accomplish that modification. Probably not for me. Ill just stick with my 7.25 until it blows or I find another alternative.
