Hi everyone
I have a 1968 barracuda that has its original 318/904 setup...I upgraded to an 8.75 rear end from the stock 8.25. How much if any do I need to cut off the drive shaft to make it work?

Thanks y'all

:burnout:

shove the tranny yoke all the way in and pull it back 3/4 to 1", measure center to center of u joints to do it correctly.

It's about .60 inches difference between the two.

Best to measure and verify.

Cool thanks guys. I'll make sure to measure it up and then bring it down to the local shop to cut it.

Just an idea. If you're u are going to cut your drive shaft, you may want to space your front spring hangers out to center your tires in the wheel well. Usually a 1/2" is all that is needed. Then measure your drive shaft to what you want.

All good advice, but check which yoke is on the new rear end and transmission.
They could take different U-joints, on either end.
