tire options left in 14 inch ?

I checked again and found that you were spot on with the hub bolt pattern. Thanks! I then dug a bit deeper and found these adapters which were cheaper. The added chart found suggests they will fit. Wheel Adapters 5 Lug 5x101.4 | 5x4 Early Dodge Plymouth Spacers 1" The remaining question...

tire options left in 14 inch ?

Thanks! I do not have the adapters yet. I will go and measure the hubs to be sure.

tire options left in 14 inch ?

If the viewers will forgive my hijack attempt, I want to ask the same question for my 1968 Barracuda because I saw lots of good answers posted to the query. I bought old factory Mopar 14" x 5.5" steel rims for the back to install wider rubber than can fit on the stock 14" x 4.5" rims. Since the...

    Trans-Dapt wheel spacers

I just learned that a set of custom hub-centric spacers can be obtained from the Lug Nut King. A FABO member posted them in another thread involving suspension upgrading and they are made from billet aluminum for the 5 x 4" bolt pattern. At $40/pair, they are more than the generic ones but...

Rims: Auto Drag (Natural/Polished) vs Fuel

Having gone through the good advice of a couple of threads regarding tire sizing and wheel backspacing, I would like to get other input regarding the choice of Center Line rims for my '68 notchback. Here is the car (first post): http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=88867 I...

    Trans-Dapt wheel spacers

Thank you sir. I just got a quote from RoadkillCustoms.com for billet aluminum adapters at $112 USD and they are made in the USA. Someone was working late... My son (9) really likes the Fuel series from Center Line and they would not require any adapters or spacers while still allowing...

    Trans-Dapt wheel spacers

Summit has the Trans-Dapt 3604. It adapts 5x100mm to 5x4.5". At 25.4mm/inch, that is very close (ie: 5x3.93") I will have to contact Trans-Dapt directly to see if that is close enough.

    Trans-Dapt wheel spacers

I have the 10" brakes that were original on the car. I will be looking seriously at whatever Mischiefdart recommends.

    Trans-Dapt wheel spacers

Can you recommend a supplier and part number? I would certainly check them out.

    Trans-Dapt wheel spacers

Under the duress of racing, I would agree completely and I would not even be considering it. I plan to give the car an easy life with its 7-1/4" differential. Do you still have the same concern or does the advice remain as before? Thanks for the input!

    Trans-Dapt wheel spacers

After some fruitful discussions with another FABO member who has the same car body, I am getting a better understanding of the rim backspacing and maximum tire size that will fit under my car. I know for certain that P255/60R15 will just fit if I have a rim with 4.5" backspace. I would love to...

69 Barracuda - biggest rim size from factory

Since this is your first posting, I wanted to welcome you to the FABO site. Should we refer to you as "Dr. Evil"? Please post some pictures of your car. I have never seen a right-hand drive Barracuda. Where exactly are you located? I visited in 1992 and had a blast but my liver and...

Thank you for posting this link. I will be making good use of it when the time comes for the transmission rebuild.

    Tire/Spedometer?

There are a number of different ratios found in the 7-1/4" differential; I know that this was not what you were hoping to hear. Check out this link and you will see the range from 2.26:1 up to 4.11:1. I do not know how many were used in your car. http://www.differentials.com/pdfs/4.pdf You...

Need help with rim back spacing?

There is another thread in the "Tires & Rims" section that discusses the backspace topic in detail. I could not immediately locate it. Per previous advice I have read at this site, I will probably just take a straight edge and hold it directly against the wheel hub. From there, measure...
