It is 7.5”. I got 2 of these in a bunch of parts awhile back. I am converting 62 lancer /6 to 4 spd OD. Was hoping to use one. But I believe they are from 63-64 valiant. Does anyone have a pic of a 62 z bar? Thanks

Im ready to reassemble the pedal assy. Finshed painting it today. Should I use lube on the plastic bushings? If so what type? Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I got the brake pedal out. The bushings are just large plastic ones.

I removed the snap ring and pulled the clutch pedal off. I removed the small bolt and collar. But when I tap on the piece that goes thru the brake pedal it wont budge.

There are pics of your mod, but their was another guy who talked about mods to the thin tube for extra strength. I have 2 z bars I think they are both for 63 valiants and I have a 62 lancer so I maybe be modding mine anyway.

I had a 72 pedal, and I heard the earlier late 60's pedal would fit so I bought one. Turns out they are exactly the same except for the pedal it's longer on the older one . I may Get the 65-66 v8 one to complete my collection. The pedal to the edge of the pic is a 64 olds....

Thanks for the pic! It looks like mine needs to move to the right a little but the tunnel is right there. So I think I will have to bend the arm to get it right and bend it up to get more throttle.

Has anyone put a cable type gas pedal assy. in a 62 Lancer? If so what did you use? I have a setup from a 72 Dart which doesn't leave the pedal in the right place.

Thanks I've heard of others having problems. But today I found a guy who will recore for a lot less and I like look of the original radiator.

Has anyone ever put a 64 radiator in a 62 Lancer/valiant? I am looking at buying one long distance and only have pics to go by, The upper hose looks like it will work, but the lower hose could be close to the engine. Thanks

I have a 62 Lancer that I need to change to cable type pedal. I got one from a 72 Dart but it doesnt look like it can be made to fit, anyone know a pedal that would work? Maybe the 65 V8 pedal?

Anyone ever put a later exhaust in a 62? When I bought my engine and tranny the guy gave me a brand new exhaust for a 71 Dart for free. I know I have to shorten the center section but the rest looks like it might fit. My car had no exhaust when I got it so I have nothing to compare it to.

Finally got out to the garage again, bent up the fuel line for the 62.
