I have a pretty hot 360 and I just used a stock distributor and got it recurved. Muuuch cheaper than a new MSD one. The one above is a good choice as well. If you use a stock one you will just need to change the connector out with the MSD one, but thats really easy to do.

It doesn't happen when I quickly get on it though, it happens when I slowly press the gas. Could that still be accelerator pump related then? It's also weird that it gets worse the more timing I take out.

Just a very late update on the problem. Have only been able to drive the car recently. The problem is getting better but still having issues I believe. I verified the timing marks on the balancer and added a timing tape (360 balancer diameter is 7.25 inches right??? Had a hard time measuring...

I'm not too sure what exactly he did to it (good friends with the shop) he told me to try it out and if it didn't work well to bring it back so He can crush it lol. He said it was the most frustrating one he has ever done because somebody previously meddled with it.

Recently my 360 has been having an issue at low Rpms. It idles fine at 1000, but it occasionally pops and surges when I quickly tap the gas. Sounds like the turn signal cam to me, I had the same problem in my dart a few years ago, I only had one brake light and no signals on the left side, but the flashers worked. Try replacing, it should fix it.

Well a rev limiter is one reason, but an entire ignition upgrade is what I was wondering about, and from what I'm reading that is a good idea.

I found a brand new ignition box as well as a blaster coil on kijiji for pretty cheap, brand new stuff that the guy never used, would just need a distributor. I'll call the guy to make sure it's what he posted. From the ad it's an MSD 6AL digital box. That would be correct I assume?

Didnt realize the distributor was easy to re-curve, I'll have to consider that then. And it's an auto, but with a good size solid roller cam, I've got enough spring to hit over 7 grand, so I'm kinda just worried about a freak occurrnces that allows the RPMs to get up there.

Well I tightened up the voltage regulator and just took a 2 hour drive, battery seems just fine, guess the problem was really simple!

I will make sure that the VR is grounded, It may be wiggling around, and be grounded sometimes. And no I haven't really touched anything on the alternator, so it could be a bit dirty.
