I haven't had my vacuum advance hooked up on my 360 ever since I put it in. I wasn't quite sure if it was needed. I have my timing setup so it runs pretty good. I was told that because my motor has pretty high compression (10.6-11) and a big ish cam that it wasn't reaally needed, that it may increase fuel economy a bit. The main reason was that its running good now so just leave it, and that I like to use the engine for what it was built for LOL. But should I hook it up? or just leave it off?

The motor is a 360, eddy heads, comp 268, new pistons and bottom end. I am using the stock electronic ignition and the stock 360 distributor.

I'd use it. What is your initial timing and total timing set at right now?

Ill hook it up then. And initial is about 15 and total is 35 I am pretty sure, It seemed to like that so I left it there.
