    OK, No Dash Lights

My guess is the dimmer in the headlight switch is bad. 67Dart273 should be along soon to help you with it. He is the electrical specialist. ~Michael

    Attach to coil

LMAO DFX!!! Way back when I was 18 and owned my first dart the coil went bad. When I changed it I threw the suppressor away. Every time a buddy got in the car he would turn the factory AM radio on and the whine was incredible!! I ended up unplugging the radio and told people it was junk and...

    Attach to coil

It is a radio noise suppressor. It is supposed to be there. The u shaped end should be under one of the coil hold down bolts. ~Michael

hi all need a little help with marker lights

Here is a picture of the back side of the marker installed in the bezel. They came from a member in this thread: http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?p=1969435366 You will see that there are 2 clips that hold the lens to the bezel. I believe that mine had a small piece of double...

non A-body question, PT -03 trouble

The rev limiter did step in. The Park/Neutral rev limited on a 03 PT is 3,980 RPM. The only way to get past that is to reprogram the ECM. Now on to the miss. How many miles on the car? Any modifications? Any maintenance? ~Michael

New LED tail lights 69 Cuda

Sebastian, Thank you for your comments. I first heard about the availability of these for the 69 Dart from Will Ellis (SwissWill). From what I can see they greatly increase the light output at the rear of the vehicle. I have read all of your previous posts on this thread and I can not wait to...

New LED tail lights 69 Cuda

Without all the sarcasm and technical requirements taillights are a major safety component. It is impossible to just look at them and say they are better. Remember that there is a huge difference between standing directly behind the car looking at them and seeing them while driving down the...

It is still possible that the dimmer part is faulty. Refer to 67Dart 273's post. He is far more knowledgeable about electrical issue than I am. ~Michael

key goes in, radio powers up

Backally I would also like you to see if any other items work just putting the key in the switch. Does the blower motor, wipers etc. operate? That the power that goes to the key in switch warning buzzer is crossed over to the accessory side of the ignition. Let me know what you find out when you...

key goes in, radio powers up

Backally, If you review the link to the wiring diagram that WJAJR posted you will see that it shows a key in switch buzzer as well as a headlight reminder (Lower right corner diag. 2). My concern with that is the key in switch buzzer should only work if the door is open that is why I asked. Did...

key goes in, radio powers up

Backally, Couple of quick checks before you tear anything apart. 1) Is the radio on with the key in the switch and the door closed? 2) With the car off, the key out and the headlights on does the radio turn on? ~Michael

key goes in, radio powers up

I think 73AbodEE hit the nail right on the head. Your power feed to the radio is coming from the key in switch warning buzzer. ~Michael

    Two electrical questions.

Al M & H Electric Fabricators makes a reproduction harness for your vehicle. They sell it through Year One for $170.00. They say that the engine/light harness is the same for slant 6 and 383. My assumption is that because the electrical components (Distributor, coil, alt, etc.) are located a...

    Starter? Input needed.

Couple of follow up thoughts. Did you make sure that you cleaned away the paint where the battery ground attaches to the block? Are you using aftermarket battery cable ends (the type that you strip away the insulation and clamp the cable end to the wire)? Given that the starter is 40 years old...

    Starter? Input needed.

Start with the basics. Disconnect the battery cables and clean the terminals. Reattach and tighten them. Make sure all the terminals at the starter relay are clean and tight. Remove the connectors at the starter and make sure they are clean and tight as well as the engine ground. In my honest...
