I’d try here, this was the mopar place locally but unfortunately the owner Rick passed about a decade ago. The guy who owns it now worked for Rick and knows mopar.
Driving up the cascade mountain range is a lot different than driving up some inclines in Georgia. I’d get a Torqstorm supercharger if I was wanting to keep the slant 6.
I bought an early 70s 225 slant with a 904 for 200$ in 1999. When it came around 2010 when I got rid of it, couldn’t give it away. I’d say the free-250$ is a good estimate.
Joes garage should fix that up. I know North Eugene Automotive off River Road used to be the spot for old Mopars. The original owner Rick LaChance was an avid drag racer in a 69 Dart that ran 9s. He has since passed of brain cancer but there was a younger guy working there that took the shop...
Nice in Eugene, I’m over here in springfield. Joes Garage is a good place from what I hear. I’m no slant six expert but if you ever need help just shoot me a message on here. Dustin.
I’d put a torquestorm supercharger on the slant. Upgrade the rear end to an 8.25, make sure the front has disc brakes. Some bigger torsion bars and a front sway bar. Then your son will be set, just my 2 cents
I had one on Craigslist about 5 years ago for 20$ took about a month to sell. Dude in SD bought it and paid 80$ ship it. I didn’t realize they were worth anything I got it for free and it had been holding my shed door open. Dustin
Agreed they are great I have a mini starter on all my mopars and my 65 dart will sit for months I'll go out there and the mini starter cranks fast and gets that tired 273 crank over pretty quickly. Dustin
