    72 duster resto

Personally, I would always go aluminum unless I was looking for a restoration look or competing in something that had rules that required iron. If for no other reason, they weight half as much.

Been awhile, hope all is well and you still have the car. Curious if you ever finished the AC duct adaptation using the factory under dash vents with the Vintage air box.

Nice job. Looks like you are close to swinging it in? I would be a little nervous about the fuel pressure sensor developing a crack. Looks like it has a bit of a cantilever there.

I agree. Easier to lock it out rather than have some knucklehead blame the issue on the cam manufacturer even if it could be kept. I see that Summit is adding cams from Brian Tooley Racing for the VVT motors, and the lower end range is using a 4 degree limiter instead of locking it out.

Completely agree. I like the idea of a 6.4, but I think a 5.7 can do the job just as well, unless you are looking for the last couple of 10ths. And I like smaller V8's anyways. Personally, I think the only real drawback to a 5.7 of any vintage is the cam. They are effectively a truck engine...

SRV is just an RPM switched output, not sure if it is power or ground though. The OEM setup has a sense to verify open/close (I think), but not sure that is necessary. There is a power and ground as well, but those are separate from the PCM. The OEM setup activates at 4800rpm, not sure a dyno...

I completely understand that! Right there with you, but I am still coming off an injury so even if I'm not working I can't go out to the garage to do much. I have to be satisfied with messing with late module modules and building a bench network at my desk or laying out crazy ideas for...

    72 Dart Swinger 3.6L Pentastar +T5

Out of curiosity, I looked up some numbers for a 2015 Challenger SXT. A Car & Driver test showed it did 14.7@97 and weighed 3946#. Plug that same drivetrain into a 3300# A-Body and it is a [email protected]. Not too bad for 30mpg and missing the V8 roar.

    72 Dart Swinger 3.6L Pentastar +T5

True, but I don't think there is any way a SB could match the efficiency though. And add a Procharger or Ripp to it and make 450+ hp and (probably) keep the 30+ mpg and now you are running away from a BluePrint 408 due to better gearing (assuming it doesn't have an 8A) and less weight...

And a whole slew of Chargers/Challengers/300's. Looks like an '11 300 or '12 Charger or Ram would be a good starting point, or maybe even a '15+ Challenger and try and use all the electronics and interior too.

If I were to do this, I think I would do a 3.6/8HP45 combo. Removes all the headache and custom parts he had to use to get a 5M to work. And I think the 8A is a wonderful combination with the 3.6. And I am a 3 pedals guy.

Did you mill those clearances into them, or do it by hand? Nice job! I've never looked at the aftermarket rails that are available, but I assume they delete the clips on the top of the injectors like you did? Guessing they are more of an assembly function than a safety function.

Does this work with the factory k-frame or does it require the motor to be forward and down a little?

Funny thing is a couple of month's ago, I got an email from Modern Driveline and it listed the ToddRon crossmember for A-Bodies as a "New Product". Makes me think they are still selling them, but...??

I don’t disagree with you. At the same time, there is a visual appeal, and the playlist (second link) has a video where the guy made like 560hp RWHP on E85 and a smaller pulley. My understanding was that the majority of the cost was all the HC specific FEAD components. But these guys are just...

Hey Joe, didn’t you ask somewhere if you could cut the top off the timing chain cover on the G3 to get ride of the horizontal stud that doesn’t do anything? Not certain it was you and can’t find the post now. I’ve recently tripped over a couple of videos of guys installing HC blowers on 5.7’s...
