    Valve to piston clearance

I have a set of 273 rockers, but if you read carefully, I have EQ magnum heads. And empty OTB lifters fell right in without oil pressure.

    Valve to piston clearance

Ive got KB flat top pistons with valve reliefs, EQ heads and 222/[email protected] roller cam. I dont have solid lifters so I cant measure the clearance, because the hydraulic lifters just collapse. What do you think, should I be worried about the clearance?

    EQ head port match

Thats what I was thinking, does it make any difference. If not, why bother

    EQ head port match

This is just for matching the intake, that area which is marked dont match. I have single plain intake and I can see it through the runner.

    EQ head port match

Hi, any experience about port matching eq heads? Is there enough material to grind about 2mm from the floor? That area sounds hollow and thin... I dont want to ruin anything.

    Question about EDELBROCK RPM heads

Thank you!! This conversation makes me wonder, why do they even make open chamber heads :D

    Question about EDELBROCK RPM heads

Ok, so basicly with N/A engine best bang for the buck would be closed chamber heads with thicker gasket and possibly shaving the piston a bit? But if I want put a vortech blower or a turbo on it some day? Will the closed chamber still work??

    Edel air gap+ EFI?

I bought the intake Now ill just have to get throttlebody, pump, ecu, coils and lots of other stuff to get it work :D Im not in a hurry, 1,5 years and ill be driving my EFI-DI 340 powered Duster (sure hope so)

    Edel air gap+ EFI?

Thanks for your input!! Does dualplane intake cause problems in efi use? Reason im asking is that I could get my hands on very cheap AIR GAP intake with bungs for injectors, rails and injectors are also included so it would be a big step forward.

    Edel air gap+ EFI?

My heads are junk, so im going to replace them. My plan was to refresh the engine next winter and put new or rebuilt heads to it and start building the efi for summer 2018. Because building the engine and Efi at the same time is too much for my wallet. Im going to use 4bbl throttle body. Will...

    Edel air gap+ EFI?

Hi everyone! Im gonna build a MPI 340 in the future and I was wondering if could use edelbrock air gap as EFI-intake. Just have the injectorseats drilled and welded to it? I have seen it done to an air gap but will it work since its a dual-plane?? Super Victor seems to be the only EFI-option in...

    596 heads on -68 340

I ment the old threads i found were all about 360 blocks. So you think it would be bang for a buck, what compression will i get with these...?

    596 heads on -68 340

Hi, I currently have J heads with 2.02 intake on my stock 340 but they are in bad condition, would need a full rebuilt. Theres a set of these 596 heads for sale and I thought if they would be any good for my engine. They are aerohead reconditioned heads. As I said, the engine is stock as far as...

<<<<<430 cube small block mopar build>>>>>

Wow, great job. Is this going to your cuda? Are you planning to feed it with the Ez-Efi?
  24. Dusterfreak

is this possible? 340 build any help would be appreicated.

Little offtopic. How much hp would be possible from a non stroked 340 with stock bore or 0.30, 10:1, edel heads, rpm intake and TTI headers? Sorry for ot...

    Lets have some fun!

Yeah, the Performer does that, its good for stock 318 but 340 dies with it. If the engine really has stock-like pistons and is in good condition you should get close to 400hp (from the flywheel at least) with valvejob, cam and intake. Check the casting numbers from the heads. Ignition needs...

    Lets have some fun!

If you have Edelbrock Performer intake and not Performer Rpm theres one problem. The performer cuts your rpm to 5500, 340 can handle 6500-6900rpm. If you have stock high compression pistons all you need is J or X heads ported, headers (dougs are great, i have heard) good cam and edelbrock rpm or...

rate this stuff for add some horses on a 318

I understand that we have to pay taxes for the parts but why the shipping?? I looked for TTI Headers from Germany and Sweden, didnt get a better offer there than from Finland. Wish I could live in the states, building MoPars would be so much cheaper.. Sorry for Offtopic.

    340 Heads?

Where could I find a datecode to see if the heads match to the block?
  29. Dusterfreak

    340 Heads?

Yes, I found the missing number. So the castingnumber would be 3418915. Rebuilt cost´s alot of euros, I´ll put them back on as they are and keep saving money for new pair of heads. I Belive that they will get me thru next 2000 kilometres since the engine worked well before. Where could I find...
