US CAR TOOL Frame Connector Questions

These connectors stiffen the car soooo much I wouldn't consider welding them on without the weight of the car on the suspension and the car level. I can jack up one corner and the whole car lifts up on that side. My floor pans were replaced and must not have been in the exact spot they were...

    has anybody done this yet

I cut the steering shaft then used DOM thick walled tubing to lengthen mine works like a champ. I also drilled four holes on each end of the DOM so I could weld the holes to the shaft as well as the ends of the DOM to the shaft just for extr protection.

    Spring Relocation Dimensions

By the way Roughidle, US Cartool makes a great kit for what you are doing. It has a re-enforcing plate that goes around the frame rail like a "U" with a hole in it. It also is self locating off of the factory bolt holes for the rear bracket.

The holes in the front hangers, the middle one is usually stock height. Then plus or minus 1/2 inch...

    Strut rod bushing replacement

I just did this. You do not have to remove the lower ball joint. Simply remove the torsion bar and The lower shock bolt on the nut on the pivot shaft. That will give you enough room to pull the strut rod and change the bushings.

I did the same thing. But am I supposed to remove the tube and put in a bearing? Or just leave it like it is? Which is "correct"?
