When I looked for my 70 Duster I couldn't find anyone reproducing the correct clips. I ended up buying these clips on eBay. They fit the factory trim holes on my Duster perfectly and are inexpensive. All I need to do is cut off the little tab on front of the clip and then trim the two edges down...

I know this is an old thread but here is a picture of my original paint 70 Duster with the Custom Sport Trim Package. With the moldings removed you can see how far up the factory painted the black under the rocker moldings.

So the only difference in the 73 up fenders is a missing mounting hole? Anyone have a picture of that? I purchased a 1973 Duster Twister for my son to build and we are planning to make it look like a 71 Twister.

Yep it's really no big deal as long as the vehicle is 25 years or older. The only catch is the car needs to have a drive-line in it when it gets inspected. For whatever reason they will not inspect the car without an engine. The funny thing is they never even look at or check the numbers on the...

Golden... as a fellow Kansan all you need is a bill of sale for the car and then simply have it inspected. The DMV will issue you a clean title. Very easy to do... I've done several that way over the years!

Yep mine has all of the vinyl top trim.

Have you found out anything more on the color combo? My 70 is painted the same as yours... Saved it from a salvage yard where it has been since the early 80's. The paint is weathered but it is still the original. Mine also has some sort of Custom Sport Trim package... They have a unique look...
