When I put a/c back in my cr I went with the Sanden. I went to all the pull-a-parts around till I found the brackets off an 85ish Dodge truck with a /6. I had the shorten the brackets to get it under the hood and thru the header. Good luck

Thanks guys. I ordered my springs yesterday. Next check will be the valves. I am looking for a kit with with everything to port my head. I have 2 heads so if I mess one up I will just take the other to the shop. I hope to get it complete this winter to install next spring.

Hey all. I am gathering the parts to have my head rebuilt this winter. My plan is to have it shaved, larger valves, hardened seat and a mild port. I have an extra head so I may play with the porting myself. Just wondering where the best place to get the valves, keepers and seals from. Thanks

I have not read all the replies so I may be missing something. But, why would you want grade 8 studs? The nut only requires 10ft lbs to tighten up. Sorry if I am missing something. Jut wondering

The bracket looks a lot like the one I got off an 86 truck with the /6. But it was to tall and I had to cut it down about 2". I am not useing the rod that goes from the compressor to the head. The back bracket goes to the top motor mount bolt. My compressor is stationary so to tighten the belt...

Have you look into vacuum leak? Start at the carb base gasket. That is were mine was leaking bad. Good luck.

Yes, that car looks like a great starting point. Like others have said, start with the safety stuff first. I would not worry bout doing things to motor till she has some seat time.

Here in KY, it is the car owners choice to register a car as classic. Maybe check with the DMV in PA bout changing from classic car?

I got mine from the parts store. Just asked for a dizzy for a 74 Swinger. I had the wiring from a parts car but it did not have the motor. And you will need the wiring. U could go to a junk yard and get both. You can get the wiring from a V-8 car/truck as well.

Seeing the duel carb set-up makes me wish I had that instead of my 4bbl set-up. Looks awsome

Hey all. I will be putting an Offy valve cover on my ride soon and wonder what would be the best choice for the gasket? It's a 225 btw.

Also that out the the filler tube before you lower. The ground wire is on the fuel line at the tank where the rubber line is between hard fuel line and tank. And like stated above, get as much fuel out of the tank before you drop it.

I would tyhink if you have not done any head work in the last 1000 miles, you would not need to re-torque the head at all. Just adjust the valves and be done.

Since you can not get past 10mph I would say there are a few things you may need to fix or adjust. From fuel pump to timing, and you already read bout carb adjustment and valve adjustment. How long have you had the car? Good luck.

May need to adjust the points in the dizzy a little. What does the inside of dist. cap look like? Maybe adjust timing a little. Good luck.
