How long is my helmet good for?

If foggy memory serves me right, Snell foundation up dates their standards every 5 years, so ( for arguments sake ) if your helmet is Snell 2015 standard, next up date is 2020, so ( again foggy memory ) rule book states that helmet must be current or previous standard; 2025 standard will render...

    Drive shaft loop

I will suggest that you put a hoop at each end of the driveshaft. the one on the differential will probably be a custom made piece; I've not ever seen commercially made units. The one up front keeps you from pogosticking; the one on the diff keeps you from doing this

    Cam ID help

That is not a MP cam; all the MP cams I've ever seen are Purple, that's why they are called Purple shaft cams, the paint marks on the cam are meaningless; if your measurements are accurate, at .440 lift with a 1.5 rocker, it; the cam; is not eather a .528 or .590 lift MP solid lifter cam; more...

Removing Upper & Lower Ball Joint Studs From Spindle....

Here is one way...........big hammer, in the range of about 3lb mash hammer, also a large drift......back the retaining nut off about half way, turn the spindle full right or left, set the drift up against the spindle in the area of where the ball joint goes thru, give it pretty much a kill shot...

    circle track cam

Have you tried "softening" the tire; years ago I knew you could buy a rubber softening compound, or is that "outside" of the rules. My neighbor races a Dirt modified here in New York, I hang with them and freely admit I know diddly about tires and I get the fact you are on a spec tire. Can you...

Formula to shave pistons to reduce compression ??

It still might not be a bad idea to buy 4 pistons......that would give you 3 spares to fix tuning snafu's, people who build nitrous motors buy extra pistons to replace the ones that get scorched, it's an idea

Formula to shave pistons to reduce compression ??

Have a shop mill a "D" shaped dish into the pistons, doing some very crude math, I guessed .250 in deep and dish dia of 3.28 in, I did not calc filet radius , I came up with a 17cc dish, between that and the appropriate gasket should get you where you want to go ........people with sharper...

    8 3/4" rear question

Some thing to also keep in the back of your mind, original "A" body units command top dollar. Finding one in a junk yard is slim to none. One possibility would be to pull a "C" body unit or a pick up truck unit; these are not as in demand as an "A" body unit. Send the housing out to be...

    Starter

Why not change your starting procedure; leave your ignition off until engine is spinning over, then flip your ignition on. That way you are not forcing the starter to buck a cylinder that is trying to fire.

    A little nervous!

If it were me, I'd go out and stand on it as hard as I could........you've got 2 hours on the run in stand, that is a no load situation, you want/need load to seat rings properly. It did prove no leaks, funny noises. Being hesitant to stand on it says you have doubts about your/others work...
