    1970 dart hood hinges

Crap hinges. They get very wobbly when worn. Mine wanted to spread out when I would try to close the hood. Ratchet strap held them in place and let me work the hinges to loosen up. It had been a couple decades since regular operation so I'm sure that played a part. Yes, they were free of...

    "Goosebumps" in spray paint

Please get and wear a good respirator if your spraying paints. Wear something to keep it off your skin as well. Solvents are toxic and can have a cumulative effect. N95 is a non-toxic particle mask.

    Duck tail spoiler

There was a factory 1 piece spoiler available for the F bodies. 78 Duster maybe... Most F body spoilers were the three piece design tho. Less weight on the trunk springs. Either way its very different design from an A body piece and doesnt fit at all. I tried, not even close.

74 Duster Rear view mirror vibration

Ebay item - 70-76 duster rear trunk lid spoiler

Mine has fingerprints in the finish. 3D fingerprints. Pulled from the mold way too soon. Wavy twisty. A good mold and someone who gives a shiit about quality and having a satisfied customer is all it takes.

How do you know if your springs are too strong for your fiberglass hood?

if your willing to try it...kind of a pita... I unwound the stock springs 1/2 turn. takes about 14-16 lbs to pull down one hinge after modifying. did it for when the 'glass hood goes on.

Every 67 and older I've had was a polished finished tag. Don't recall any paint.

67 should be an unpainted vin tag on the A pillar, not dash.

Mirrors from other cars on your Mopar?

Not without a wedge shaped spacer of some kind. The door mounting area is angled down steeply on the Aspen/Volare where its more of a cove on the A body.

    Hood hinge spring.

same reason I did what I did. couldnt keep the hinges from splaying out every time. give it a shot...tighten up the slop at every pivot/hinge point too if you can.

Easiest cheapest way to fix dent

I'd be dealing with any reliability and safety issues before tiny dings in 50 yo metal. Just an old dead guy rolling around mumbling. Paint looks intact. Try paintless dent repair, the home version. Less destructive. Much simpler. I bet an ambitious guy like you could figure it...

    DArt Hood Hinges

they really suck, dont they? always bowing in and out... I unwound the springs a half turn. Took the major loading off the spring... so they act like more normal hinges should...lol Used an old trunk spring for a prop rod. Bent end fits into existing holes under hood.

May have to drill holes for the top row of door panel clips on the duster door. Other than that it's good. 70-72 Duster drivers door on my 72 Demon. Pop Out Quarter Window ?

Correct on swap as complete unit. Latch and glass mounting points are different so no swapping the latch or glass alone. The 73 up latches can "over extend" and begin to fold closed backwards just a bit which locks them in position. The wind can not close them. I notched the 70-72 metal panels...

    Pop Out Quarter Window ?

    Pop Out Quarter Window ?

My latches will fold beyond full open and start to close backwards...if that makes sense...like over extending a knee. They are 73 up windows though so the latch is a bit different.

    Door Glass Question.

I'd seriously consider picking up complete or loaded replacement doors and using them, if its not an originality issue. Even then I would much rather transfer parts off a loaded door directly to my shell, side by side, on a table/bench. Eliminates a lot of head scratching and saves time as well.
