    Painting bumpers

Mine needs something to break the green up, but I do like yours! My car was almost B5 Blue back when i was picking a color, and then at the track a 69 roadrunner pulled up that was B5, and the guy painted EVERYTHING. by no means did he do a bad job, but the bumpers...marker trim...door...

    Painting bumpers

I was just going to suggest that. It's personal preference, and not to insult anyone, but 75% of the time, I can't stand body colored bumpers on classics. Just personal preference. My fiberglass ones are painted silver, and to me, it's still better than body color.

Windshield seam sealer? What to use.

I don't see any rot in any of the channels. I appreciate the feedback above and will take all into consideration.

Windshield seam sealer? What to use.

Thanks all, top picture is the front. Bottom picture is the rear. The rear has that extra layer in it of some kind of putty. Not sure if it's factory or not. And not sure the best product to to use, that's why i asked.

Windshield seam sealer? What to use.

That tagged as a seam sealer, or a windshield adhesive?

Windshield seam sealer? What to use.

Thanks, I will have to look that up. Wanted something that would not trap water long term. Car won't see much rain, and doesn't seem to leak now, but better safe than sorry, especially with knowing rust can hide anywhere

Windshield seam sealer? What to use.

On my B body, I pressure washed out the channel around my windshield, and rear window, with the trim off, and was left with what seems like factory sealer or putty of some kind. What's the best way to encapsulate, or reseal this gap/seam? Was contemplating masking it off and using some kill...

Afternoon project? 1973+ bumper reinforcment removal for weight reduction...worth it?

MY 74 was the heavier setup. Between the spring filled coil mounts, and the backing plate, it was every bit of the 86 lbs noted in post 11. I would have honestly guessed more. I also went fiberglass like post 11 above. If i was keeping it on the street, i probably would have just re-used the...

Do you have to remove the glass and /or window mechanism to get those out?

    Go or No Go? (Wing)

As a go wing owner....I dont think it looks great on much besides the swinger , and e bodies. It's a love / hate thing. I'm not offended by those that dont care for mine. I vote no on the A body cuda

Cut out front wheel wells or no?

Do NOT cut those out...You will actually trap air under the hood, by disrupting airflow. and you will also lose rigidity in the chassis. Unless you are building a chassis car that sits an inch off the ground, you are only hurting yourself.

1973 bumpers: significantly lighter than '74+?

I remember the first time I picked up my 74 bumper.lol If its not 150 lbs with the brackets I'd be surprised.

Best looking hood on 74 Sport, opinions.....

I won't quote your whole post, but yep, i sold my stock 74 hood to a guy with a 69 cuda.

Best looking hood on 74 Sport, opinions.....

Lol...my "beak" probably saved me $2K as a 16 year old kid vs a "desirable" year. And it gave me free reign to do whatever i wanted to the car w/o breaking any hearts over "but its a vin code blah blah blah" or... It was a "blah blah blah package" lol

Best looking hood on 74 Sport, opinions.....

Did they put this scoop on the beak cars from the factory? I thought this was like the 71-72 scoop? not criticizing, Im asking because i don't know.lol

Best looking hood on 74 Sport, opinions.....

I think the 6 pack scoop fits rather well. Mine has the same nose of yours despite the swinger vs sport. Here's some older pics i have of my 74 back when it was still in street trim. I don't mind the beak myself.lol

Anyone ever cut a vented "heat extractor" fiberglass hood?

Yeah it would require a flat hood if anything. I followed a thread where a guy took an SRT viper center section (like mine) and graft it onto a dart hood, ended up looking awesome. unfortunately photobucket ruined the thread so i only see small images of it.

Anyone ever cut a vented "heat extractor" fiberglass hood?

I liked the SRT/Viper hood vents so much, i put them on my PreRunner :) I have seen these vents/scoops on some classic mopar hoods, look pretty neat IMO

Plugging aerial hole when removing radio? What did you use?

Unscrewed antenna, then cut the plastic portion if the antenna base flush with screw on plug. Pushed a chrome plug fitting completely flush with the screw on portion. Been that way for 10 years. Just looks like a flush chrome cap where there used to be a stick antenna.

'73 Dart Swinger Bumper help needed!!

My dart is a swinger, and a 74. Still have the car. Lol. I never would have thought a sport and swinger would have different mounts, but I also wouldn't have figured the brackets changed between 73 and 76. Clearly im a learnin something new. However, for 100 percent certainty, my 74...

'73 Dart Swinger Bumper help needed!!

Have we tried bolting the brackets to the car first...loosely. without the bumper. and then holding the bumper up to the brackets? Fyi this is probably irrelivent...but my 74 had the round shock style brackets. Not ones like u pictured. I still have the original 74 bumper. If u need me to dig...

    408 fender badges.

I bought these for mine when my "dart" emblems started falling off. (amazing what starts rattling loose when you crack into the mid 10's) Haven't put them on yet, not sure if i'm going to...just something different. I agree with the above, it's about what you like...not everyone else.

    408 fender badges.

They have been out for the fords forever...which is what I associate them to. I considered them also, but they looked really...."non oe" but I dont know what ones you are looking at? Link? The red lined ones weren't for me.

    Painting POR 15

All in the prep. As with any paint job. It bonds great to rust and rough surfaces, but it will come off in sheets if you paint it on a Smooth, unprepared, or greasy surface....did an engine bay once...or should I say twice ;) but overall great stuff! Id use it again. Just need to rough up...

    Got some color today!!!

Very nice! I like how the black hood, vinyl top, and stripe, breaks up these cars when wearing bright colors. Idk if I'd like my sublime as much if it was a hard top and had a body color hood. I usually don't care for the low profile wheels, but these look really good on your car. great job!!
