    Judge Mills' 1971 Plymouth Duster

Looking back, it appears I didn't document what I've been doing the last 8 months. I didn't work on it a whole lot, but I did replace all the brake lines and hoses. I did buy some pre-bent stuff, which I had to re-bend and cut. In retrospect, I should have just bought a roll of line and done it...

    Judge Mills' 1971 Plymouth Duster

Looks like it's been a while since I updated. Pulled the trigger around a month ago and ordered a driveshaft. It just arrived today. I measured probably 15 times, and it looks like I did it right! I was real nervous about ordering a shaft, especially from clear cross the country, and wit a mopar...

Also, what size rims are those? Brand? They look good.

1971 Demon - My First Mopar Build

This car looks great! I had some weird adhesive on a sunroof on my duster. I used PB Blaster to melt it. It probably doesn't work on all adhesives, but it did on that particular hack job.

    Judge Mills' 1971 Plymouth Duster

I took the Dremel to the rims and got them to fit! Just took minimal "massaging" of the wheel to get it to fit. I officially have a roller! I moved in this house in the Spring of '10. Since then I've had a kid, got laid off, and got back to work! Since being here, the car hasn't been able to...

    Judge Mills' 1971 Plymouth Duster

I'm pretty sure the Great Pyramids were built faster than this. Here' the latest: For now, just to get the car rolling, I"ll not be using brand new rotors or bearings. I just repacked the bearings and put in new wheel seals. At this point, I finally have a roller again! I found out though that...

    Judge Mills' 1971 Plymouth Duster

You can see in this thread the debacle I had with the Raybestos offset bushings: http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=206123 Long story short, buy the Moog's! Looks like I will need to buy the upper ball joint removal tool. I tried the vise trick; it was a no go. KYB front...

    MuuMuu101's 68 Dart, A Learning Process...

Most people around here use PB Blaster. It really works well at getting rusty bolts loose. To me, it seems to work better than WD 40. Great looking car!

Thanks to some instructions autoxcuda has posted a few times, I started installing my offset bushings today. Might have the control arms in this week. Then I'll be installing the upper ball joints. Check back in a year, I have no guarantees on how fast i work :)

    Judge Mills' 1971 Plymouth Duster

Looks like I haven't updated this thread in a long time! I did aquire that disc brake swap from a member here, and I have been working on it VERY slowly. Tomorrow I will be installing these offset bushings.

    A tale of two Dusters

Keep up the work, man. Little by little. I have been working on my Duster for 10 years now. You'll get there soon! I like the direction you are going.

    Judge Mills' 1971 Plymouth Duster

Yep. I saw a few years ago someone on here posted a thread where they welded a piece underneath and smoothed a thin layer of filler over the top, and it looked perfect. That sunroof alone almost made me get rid of the car until I saw that thread.

Still waiting on the front Discs. In the meantime, I focused my attention to the rear discs. Ordered new pads, rotors, and hoses from Summit and Rock Auto. Painted the old calipers. Coming along!
