My comment was regarding the amount of load caused by the fan. If it draws “30 HP” on one motor it’s going to draw 30 hp on another because of the amount of work it takes to turn the fan stays consistent.

Horsepower is horsepower no matter what motor it’s on. I don’t believe a fan is going to draw anywhere near 30 hp, but whatever it draws it would be the same on whatever engine you have it on.

I’ve looked around for an M1 for a low deck and have never been able to find a listing for a 4500 flange. Did they make a low deck 4500?

Has anybody done testing for a low deck intake for a 4500 carb? I know there’s not much to choose from but I was wondering what would work best for say 7000 rpm range? Would a spacer/ adapter with the TF 4150 work well?

I agree that the shroud is restricting air flow. If you look at it there is about 25% of the surface area or more of the radiator that is being blocked by the shroud. Exactly Right! Couldn't be more wrong! 100% ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! While it is true a lean mixture runs hotter than stoich or a richer mixture it is very unlikely to get the exhaust hot enough on its own to make it glow red. If timing were near correct it would start a lean burn inside the cylinder...

PEP Crankshafts are the same as 440 Source. I was told that is who makes them for 440 Source so any reviews for them would give you an idea of what they're like.

Yes by all means! The plates will pull the block/ bores more into line with where they'll be when the heads are torqued down. Ask some of the guys on here that are actual machinists (MRL, Moper, OU812- Brian) & they can probably tell you how much a bore will move when the plates or heads are...

Maybe someone pull them to see if it had any sludge build up. Might be hard to believe it only has 40k. It's a pull-a-part. Could have been for any reason possible.
