What else do I need for the hotwire setup, other than the bolt on items? They do seem to be the cheapest. Is it 300 to reprogram a computer that you supply, or they supply and program used for 300? Their site seems geared for jeep apps, I didnt see much for component sales for early mopes...

Does anyone sell a complete kit, with the computer (modified?), harness, etc? Or do you have to source a specific year + application computer (ie 2005, non-SKIM) and matching harness to send off to be modified?

The last time I looked into swapping a 5.7 into an old mope the closest thing to plug-n-play was the Hemitronix setup but even that did not come with a full tune. I know nothing about "tuning by wire" and to be honest I don't want to know, I am just looking for a stock system for a stock 5.7...

What are the recommendations for a torque converter? I read an article on an early swap that used a /6 unit, supposedly because the factory used a higher stall to get the most from the engine. Mid 70s Chargers weight what, 4000 lbs?

The engine will stay dead nuts stock, in the distant future it may see a cam and flash from XV. Nothing I am considering within the next few years. I will check out the LX manifolds, that would save me some time/expense.

Tin, are you saying 6-7k plus the motor, or 6-7k with everything? I'm not above a little JY digging or parts shopping so I'm hoping to keep it a good bit lower than that. There's not much wiggle room on the mounts, the pan, or the harness that I can see, but the rest is up for bargaining...

I didn't know that the MSD Hemi-6 will work with EFI, I thought it was just for carbed engines. At around $550 for the controller and harness, is there any reason to use the S&P unit vs the MSD? The engine will stay stone stock for quite some time. Thanks
