    Rocker arm ratios

Hi! I've heard and read (on this site among other sources) that the stock rockerarm ratios is quite alot under the 1,5 they're supposed to be, but both mopar performance and sealed power makes stocklooking rockerarms for the small-block chrysler, the question is - are these true 1,5 ratio or...

    Valves for RHS heads

Hi all! I'm looking at buying some RHS bare heads and want to get ahold of some ok valves at a reasonable price, want 1,625 exh ant 2,02 int valves, found some mopar perf valves but it seems to me that they are quite expensive at around 400 Usd for 16 valves, so my question is if someone has a...

    Oil explosions when revving engine

Yeah quite, there's no power steering or anything else that could possibly leak by revving under the hood

    Oil explosions when revving engine

pcv beeing? But i does have breathers on the valvecovers, what could be the reason for this excessive pressure then? To my knowledge and my friends all parts are stock but then again we might both be wrong, oilfilter is a new mann filter checked the dipstick and there's no oilpressure meter

    Oil explosions when revving engine

Hi all! i have a strange problem in a friends car, it's a '68 Dart with a 318 of unknown origins and a 904, what happens is that when revving the engine high for example when burning tires there suddenly comes a great cloud of smoke from the engine compartment and when one opens the hood the...

small and big end weight Eagle 6123CP

Those weights aren't even near what Eagle themselves said when I asked they gave me info that the small end should be around 160 and big end 445 :O Are there actually that much difference between sets?!

small and big end weight Eagle 6123CP

Anyone who has a set of eagle 6123CP connecting rods who have weighed the small and big end, I know they're totally around 605g but I really want to know approximate small and big en weight before I order for balancing reasons. Best regards!

Stock Rods the way they're ment to be!

I'm quite sure that the mopar rods if reworked properly will hold up the all but the most extreme builds! Best regards

Stock Rods the way they're ment to be!

No worries mate, the rods will be perfect even with the "wrong", and hey, if they're not I'll just run them through again and run other bearings. I don't mount anything that isn't within tolerances in my engine! Sure I could have bought new I-beams but these rods from total stock to this cost me...

Stock Rods the way they're ment to be!

They are already balanced and matchweighted ;) Polishing is really not needed, don't gain very much by it and it's a lot of work! (Done it before) Best Regards!

    Smallblock motormounts '66 Dart

Hi! I have a '66 Dodge dart with a 318 in it, it was a original slant six car but has been converted to v8 with a stock beam. The question is which motor mounts (rubber) I should use to get the engine to sit as stock, preferably something from Summit since I'm ordering from them anyways.

Need Help and thoughts on my 390 stroker

But wouldn't a bigger camshaft still move the powerband up? Just thinking. But the negative effects could be evened out with better flowing heads?

Need Help and thoughts on my 390 stroker

The thing is that I really dont want to rev it more than 6.000 or maybe 6.500Rpm. Is that a crazy thought? And I did figure quite a lot on cam choice and my thought was to have it all done at about 6.700Rpm and peak power between 4.500 and 5.500. That was why I choose this cam in the dirst...

Need Help and thoughts on my 390 stroker

The b230 pistons are flattops and I run them at around 7.2-7.5:1 static. How high static compression could you run given I'd use the diamonds and the RPM heads, just thinking?

Need Help and thoughts on my 390 stroker

Sorry but I don't quite follow you argument (English is not my native language). I agree that the pump gas mot surely is the same. But do I understand you right when you say that with the diamonds I could run 10.5 but the ICONS limit me to 9.5? Just wondering, please explain how I could run...

Need Help and thoughts on my 390 stroker

Head change is for performance gain and nothing else since the heads I already have work fine, they are as stated portmatched and I have just evened out the rough parts in the ports. I don't want much higher compression than 9.5 since I will be running it on stock pump-gas. It will of course see...

Need Help and thoughts on my 390 stroker

Hi! I have been in the process of building a 318 stroker engine for my Dart and first of all I'd like some thoughts on how you think it will perform as of now (I have just begun putting things thogether from the workshop) Current Setup Crankshaft : Mopar Perf. Cast 4" Crank Camshaft : Comp...

I have my 392 ordered, how much power will it make?

And it's going into a truck, and I think I mentioned earlier that the dimensions on the exhaust weren't decided yet, but now they are. I have decided for 3" with x-pipe and magnaflow mufflers. A couple of headers and some head porting will come along when the cash is available. A 750 might be a...

I have my 392 ordered, how much power will it make?

I did not know, that the rpm was taller than the performer, I will admit that I took a chance on that one since it was rated at lower rpms than the RPM. I have a http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRN-15005/ and a http://www.summitracing.com/parts/LUN-60402/ lying at home from previous builds...

I have my 392 ordered, how much power will it make?

Moper, I really did not mean you our any of the serious answering people here to take offence, you are really gold worth when dealing with these engines! And yes I agree to 100% that I would actually gain both torque and Horses on upping the carb size to 750 or even 800. I do not base my...

I have my 392 ordered, how much power will it make?

I'm not stupid. Take apart a 454 chevy truck engine and tell me how big the intake ports are... How often do you touch 5000rpm with a bloody truck eh? It's red marked at 4500rpm on the dash... I want power between 0 and 4000rpm nothing more, and to big ports, carbs, cams and so on will put me...

I have my 392 ordered, how much power will it make?

Well of course, but as I said earlier, overcarbing in worse than under... I did not say that big carbs is bad. But a to big carb will give you slow airspeeds at low and mid rpm until you get the revs up high enough to get enough vacuum to suck big enough amounts of fuel and air to get the...
