Did some searching and came up with this ad for an AutoMex 67 Barracuda. It has no markers, and 67 lower moulding vs. spears. Almost looks like ablackout paint was applied to lower panels, although that could simply be the picture. Grant

Not a carb expert, but it does sound as if it is pulling gas out of one of the idle or off-idle ports when at that particular RPM/vacuum. Like berlins said, watch for fuel purts down the bowl when at that range Grant

I only did that once on an old slant. I was concerned about getting debris along the ring lands, so I used a small ribbon of plasticine around the tops of the piston. Was it neccessary? Probably not. Was it smart? Probably notter.. Grant
