Hey people I need some schooling on these console shifter pivot brackets. I need to know which body classes these came off of, or which transmissions. 904/ 727a / 727b Exhibit "A" I believe is off a "A" body Exhibit "B" I believe is off a "B" body. Yes ? No ? Whats the scoop...

Right ! I failed to mention that..... I guess I was hoping that it would be common sense if messing with electrical to disconnect the battery, but if someone never did this before they might not think of that. Thanks for the additional info ! -RPM

I was changing out my cluster on my Duster and thought I might as well make a small and simple tutorial out of it. For some of us this task is old hat, but for some one that has not done this yet this might help. This is the basics of it. There is some stuff that will take common sense. Ok...

I have one on my duster. I got mine out of a 74 Dart Sport. -RPM

My only thing in stereo on my car is the mufflers noise.... I couldnt hear a stereo if I had to. With the speakers that low to the floor the volume will not be optimum, but at least you will have tunes. Good luck. -RPM

ya what they said... the first time I removed one years ago I did it the hard way.... would have been great to know about that lil button.... I found it after I took the dash out. -RPM

real easy to do if you dont want a console. I installed a B&M Mega shifter on the floor and it looks great. Swapped the stock shifter column out with one that didnt shift from column. Was easy and great. -RPM

I got mine through the " paddock parts" . Over all I am impressed with the fit and quality. Very little trim work and fit nice over the humps and bumps. Nice foot pad for driver and nice tight loop pile. for what its worth. -RPM

paddock parts has them, but they are not much cheaper, but i have seen them and they are real nice. -RPM

how about a backyard mechanic fix....that has worked for several years on mine. If you cannot tighten it up the correct way, do what I did. I packed the little area around the ball with nothing more than a peice of a paper towel. Screwed it back up there and man is it nice. No more flopping...
