    67 barracuda notchback restoration

I would never have the fenders on at this point. I hang the doors setting rear gap, set hood gap with cowl. I then hang the fenders since they have the most adjustment in them. It is just the way I was taught nearly 40 years ago and all things being remotely correct it has worked out.

    1968 Barracuda Formula-S 383 Auto

no unfortunately, the block is a 71 383hp engine, but the intake is the original one by date anyhow. There is a possibility the block is still around ... following up on that. oh yeah - it also has a tachometer and 150 speedo, both correct.

    1968 Barracuda Formula-S 383 Auto

gold on gold is kind of weird. deluxe interior, light package, rear defog, and variable wipers. a few options on it. It has 67 front fenders on it but that's an easy fix. Strangely, it also has 4-spd pedals in it.

New one added to the corral. Car is all there. radiator, exhaust manifolds, 383-s hood louvers are cherry, oil pan 893, even the dip stick and fan are correct. shield is still on the prop valve. All the gauges even work. Fuel system issues after sitting since 1990. I hooked up a make shift...

    67 notchback...what to do...

Id probably put column, console and buckets in it clean it up a bit maybe put the black vinyl back on and drive the poop out of it. Add disc brakes maybe. It is a well optioned car and it looks to have been loved throughout its lifetime. The decor package wood grain door panels, dash overlay...

Tommy, on the hood. Do you have the 4 fender bumpers for the hood on it yet? If not, they will help with maintaining a proper hood gap.

    1967 383 Formula-s

Good eye it is incorrect. There a few things wrong with that fictional tag. I had just got the card and did it half asleep lol. It should read 285 which is tire code 28 (5) times 4 on the road and one in the trunk. There are several fender tag codes that all of the 67 383 Barracuda cars will...

It looks to be a very untouched car even the right bank spark plug heat shields were still attached. I admit there is nothing worse than having to wait on someone else! Gang Green 68 GTS

Nice score, this is one of the closest from engine assembly date to body build date I've seen 2 days. 12/26/67 on the engine and C28 on the fender tag 12/28/67. Those BB a-engine must have been in real high demand being as the car wasn't even an SO unit! But then again the SPD isn't always the...

Not bad for never being undercoated some pin holes here and there but overall looks pretty solid?! It looks like a strange repair job on the right inner fender skirt?

It's all good Steve. After a year of waiting I'll be getting surgery next month on the shoulder. Maybe then I can catch up on some sleep. It wears on you after a while only been getting a few hours a night. The car should be done by the weekend. I can start logging some miles on her then.

The strut rod bushings were toast and it was all over the place while driving. With my shoulder all torn up I bartered a deal to have my buddy, a 27 year Mopar front end guy, re-bush upper/ lower control arms, strut rods and sway bar and replace the tie rods, idler and ball joints and align.
