Rich, you can use any "console" shifter, Hurst or Inland, with it regardless of base, Adjustments for inland are under the car like Hurst. It makes for easier access to remove the handle on either shifter.
68's had the same face as the 67. The numbers were sideways and not up and down but did have the push on cable unlike the 67's screw on. This would technically be 69-71 but will work in as you say and 67 with a cable change. Looks nice!
Woody - Steve they could be had either way chrome or painted. Your Barracuda probably has chrome that is all i've seen in them, but Dart maybe different. I bought a large lot of this stuff and it was a mixed bag of colors and chrome. Sadly he must have chopped 10+ convertibles from what I saw...
Looking at the picture the speedo numbers are straight up then they are 69 I didn't notice that before and was going off of what the OP stated. The 67-8 numbers were sideways and 70-1 rallye's were 150's w/trip.
That lid is for a 67. The 68 and 69 are different and will not bolt-up/function the same.
The 68 used a lower pad and was hinged differently.
The 69 used a push button latch tether strap assembly.
The front plate w/script is interchangeable through the years.
From a 65-6 it does fit other years, but an early A-body is what it is out of. It is the bolt on style.
