This my new one that has the Mr Gasket light spring, note the numbers on the side do they mean anything,I do have the blue dot 2060 springs coming.

I think the Mr Gasket light spring is my problem,the other dizzy with the 2 heavey oem spring does not ping but not responsive like the new dizzy.

SO my new factory distributor had stock springs, I got the Mr Gasket spring kit.pulled 1 heavey spring and put 1 lighter spring in. Awesome throttle response,but it pings at part throttle but not at wot.360 30 over 9 2 1 compression.18 at idle and 34 , full advanced i have put my old dizzy...

I have just put in my new dizzy after having a shop change the 1 advance spring. I had one left over from my MR Gasket . now it pings big time, tried to retard her some help a little, but lost some power.i think that spring is too light advancing to fast, who has a few to choose from.THOUGHTS...

the cold thing i get, but sometimes she gets hot and fuel boils makeing hard to start. CT has a 800 cca for `160 + my old batt.thats the way i will go.thanks gents its bin a wile.

Thinking about the Mad bypass,so lets see if i have it right, so hear goes. i remove the red and black wire at the bulkhead, run a 8 gauge wire from alt join the red and black together then remove the red and black at the ammeter join the done am i right. thanks
