LOL... for me, I went with the big tach because bigger is better right?? LMAO .. That and I got it nice and cheap.... as for the 'damaging original parts' guess I am guilty of that as well.. we cut the a-pillar molding in order for the tach to mount properly to the pillar... Didnt bother me...

Mine is touching the pad (barely) but thats ok... im cool with it.. (I also have a spare dash pad around here somewhere lol)

However, if there is one drawback, look where that shift light sits in my pic... if your driving at night, I found its best to not pound on it and get that light to light up.. cause at that angle in the dark, when it lights... you cant see... scared the crap out of me the first time it happened...

You would think that giant tach would block your view there, but honestly it doesnt.. My friend had his there, and I always thought he was crazy for putting it there, so one day he told me to sit in the car, and see for myself.. I did, and I was sold from that moment on... I knew then thats...

B-body buckets like out of a mid to late 70's Charger or Cordoba... Thats what I bought for my Dart.. I will most likely be putting them in this spring.. if you check out my build thread (in my sig) I have a picture of the seats in there somewhere.. they are very comfy!

If you know the name of the shade of maroon your interior was, go to totallyauto.com, they sell factory color interior paint in a spray bomb.. I bought several cans of their B7 blue to do the interior of my Dart.. and it was really good stuff... it was expensive (as far as rattle cans go) but...

I agree.. Its easier to totally strip the dash outside of the car... thats how we did mine in my Dart... we unhooked the heater control cables from the heater box, disconnected any wiring that had to remain in the car then removed the dash... took the radio, heater controls, cluster, dash pad...

it could have had either the black or the chrome depending on when in 69 it was built.. or at least thats what I have been told by several people.. Mine came with black ones.. but I like the chrome better so I will be switching them...

be even more interesting if you could fabricate a console to go from front to rear...

if you can find a donor bucket seat car, say maybe in the boneyard, you can cut out the inner mounting brackets ... and that will give you location and all for putting then in your car
