I'm going to 3D print my tail lights (Yes I'm nuts)

The advantage of 3D printing is that the machine does all the work for you. You get it all set up, start the program and go to work outside. By the end of the day (or sooner) it's done. No sweat!!!

I'm going to 3D print my tail lights (Yes I'm nuts)

I powder coated the trunk panel on my Barracuda. They had a pretty shiny silver. It turned out pretty nice. I don't know how original you want it to look??

Barracuda fender clearance for wide tires

I've made braces to push out fenders and even 1/4 panels before. You can use any stiff material. 1/2 X 1/2 angle iron, 3/8" rod with the ends flattened. It it doesn't come out the way you want it to look you can cut it off after the fact!

Barracuda fender clearance for wide tires

If you plan to cut the body wouldn't be easier to make a fender brace from the inside to push that fender corner out a little???

    AAR/Stinger Fender Fitment Issue

I haven't had that exact issue but I have had fiberglass panels that didn't fit well. Had some that were way off!! I carefully pulled the panel into place a little at a time using clamps. I didn't pull the panel all the way into place (it might crack), just enough to heat the panel with a...

undercoating inside the doors and sound deadener

What about the bottom of the door where the rust usually begins? The lower door seams are really a problem because the seam holds moisture. I paint all those areas with the undercoat stuff I talked about earlier. The sound deadener would soak into the seams the way that liquid undercoat does.

undercoating inside the doors and sound deadener

Most older cars I've done usually have old dried out undercoating there but the factory undercoat almost always doesn't cover the very bottom of the door. That's why doors always rust at the bottom, plus the drain holes get plugged. Clean the doors out real good and see if there's undercoat at...

undercoating inside the doors and sound deadener

I always use brush-on liquid undercoat inside the doors to keep them from rusting. But be sure to leave the drain holes open at the bottom. The stuff I use is expensive but sticks to anything and won't come off. It goes on real thin not like bed liner, it also acts like a deadener. Dynapro...

    POOR MAN'S HINGE REPAIR

Great Macgyver work!! I probably would have tack welded (wire feed) the splined end (head of pin) to the hinge since it probably won't be replaced for another 45 years. Don't want the pin to spin???

    1 MAN HOOD INSTALL ?

Yep, except I have wooden rafters so it made it much easier to attach the pulleys. It makes something difficult into something easy!! I don't think that the strongest man in the world could have set that '46 hood in place and held it up at the correct angle for as long as it took to locate and...

    1 MAN HOOD INSTALL ?

I built a '46 Chevy for my son, the hood weighs a ton. I did all the work myself and had to find a safe way to lift and fit the hood. I came up with a simple cheap solution. I went to Lowles and bought 4 small inexpensive pulleys. Bolted them to the rafters and ran some paracord through...
