hello everyone. I have a 68 Valiant and the previous owner converted the front brakes to power disc. Now we have a leaking Booster, but I can't tell who the manufacturer is for the master and booster assy. Is there a way to tell if it's Bendix, Kelsey, or Budd? Or even more, does it matter which...

    MC Leaking?

YY1, That's where it looks like most of the fluid is accumulating. But I still want to check the vacuum like halifaxhops suggests. Thanks for replying. The pedal seems kind of stiff still. It was parked for a while and when we first started working on it, the pedal would stick. So we would pull...

    Brake Pad Replacement Tool

A C clamp with one of the old pads works fine too. You just need to unbolt the cylinder from it's mount. That way you are not pushing more on one side of the piston than the other.

    Brake master possible leak

We had the master cylinder replaced about 7 years ago on this 68 valiant. How hard is it to replace the seal between the master cylinder and the diaphragm that fits in the wall of the car?

    Brake pedal sticks

It's not bad. I mean it doesn't take much pressure from my foot to pull it back up. I had the brakes done a few years ago. They replaced the master cylinder at that time. So I'm hoping it is just pivot point stiffness.

    Brake pedal sticks

I have a 68 Plymouth Valiant with a slant 6 in it. I notice since the car has been sitting for a year or so that now when I push on the brake pedal, the brake pedal sticks and I can put my foot behind it and release it. The brakes do work and the pedal doesn't go to the floor. So I don't think...
