    Oil capacity for 8.25.

Nice. When you do get a chance, that 355 gear set is perfect for fuel mileage and acceleration. I am working on a 73 Duster. 318 3-speed 8.25. Soon to be a 340 4-gear. It was a 340 4 speed originally.

    Oil capacity for 8.25.

Anybody happen to know what the gear oil capacity is off hand for an 8.25. I have the cover off and the differential on axle stands. It would be easier to fill it and seal it back up in this manner. Thanks

What do I need for my 904 rebuild?

A stock rebuild kit is all I can see you requiring, If any upgrades.. I like the .999 Planetary gears, they get you out of the "Hole" quickly. Also the Trans-Go shift kit is nice, it will prolong the life of the transmission due to minimalizing slippage during the *****. I also would replace...

    Rear bearings, green vs timken

if there is any wear on the axles where the "lip seal" rides its going to leak. I took a good look at mine and decided on the "Greens" One can always drift the seal in short in the axle tube to compensate, but for the average Joe... The "Greens" are simple install.

    Rear bearings, green vs timken

I am in the process of replacing mine as well. After some research, I am convinced the "Green Bearings" are the way to go. No internal seals to worry about and no preload adjustment. Simple easy and affordable. I ordered mine from Mancini $85.00 bucks plus the cost to have them pressed on to...
