no I do believe that is with the gas gauge from what I have been told

Try using Shell Rotella T triple protection I use it in my 65 Dart Convert and it swells the seals also it has zinc in it which helps the internals of the engine. That should help with the smoke and the leaks. ALSO all the German cars smoke on start up I work in a higher end car line bodyshop...

I had the same problem and the solution was the headlamp switch put a new one in and no more problem

I was wondering if they make door light pin switches that are longer and shorter as the passenger door when it is shut the dome lamp stays on. So I just need a pin switch that is about a 1/4 inch longer.

Well thanks to all who gave me advise for my top. I filled it and found that the right cylinder is leaking and has for some time so it's time for new carpet and a new right side cylinder. Got to love old cars!!!!
