65 dart trunklid lock

I don't know if I'm just crazy or am I doing this wrong but the lock in the trunk lid does it not come out easy by just removing the clip that holds it in or is there another way to get it out?

It is probably just slightly twisted, it doesn't take much. As they have tabs that the lock mechanism can catch on.

Oh, and another possibility, if it has had a repaint that they didn't remove it for, it could be paint stuck.

It will take some finagling to get it through the hole. Especially if somebody installed a 66-later lock cylinder which is almost the same size, but not quite.
