    68 Mule Car

Real 68 Super Stocks are all over the place. Depends on known history and how much the car was cut up and replaced. Or how much is known that was not cut up on it. Problem is most knowledgeable people don’t want to give away info unless they can make a buck off you. Or give you false info for...

He's asking what model Edelbrock intake is it? RPM, Air Gap, Victor, Victor RPM, LD340.... etc ?

    408

Assuming typical stroker kit flat top piston and typical J head being -/+ 72 cc's, that would be around 10:1 compression. I would think anything above mid 90's octane rating should keep it from pinging typical 525/525" cam. But really need more details on cam.

Is this for circle track racing where the class requires a 2 bbl 500 cfm carb ?? What compression ratio are your running? Do you have the piston part numbers?

    new to a bodies

Excellent car! Fantastic condition. No messed with much as well taken care of. Was not sold new in CA (no N95 tag code). Not a bad thing. It won’t have the 70 California and 71-up emissions stuff to worry about restoring. Like, no vapor return line, no 3-nipple breather, no special 4 nipple...

I’m sure I posted a picture of it when it was at the show. Would be on one of the old Spring Fling big threads here. I want to say an FABO member @john dodge from Australia was considering buying it or bought it.

Yep. That sure looks like it. Maybe I can find some pictures of it. It was a good deal I thought. The bummer was the 360. IIRC, under $6K or $8k at THAT time. I can’t really remember the year though. Did it have a fender tag?

Did this car get repainted recently before you got it. Sounds like a car that was for sale at Spring Fling once. Was purple but had some primer spots on it.

    hello from southern california :)

No worries. Just different hobbies. I do same thing all the time. I remember in about 1998 a spectator at a Spring Fling show said to me, "Oh wow, did you see who that was?" I'm like, "guy in a orange Dodge Demon" ...it was Tom Murello the famous guitar player from the band Rage Against the...

    Hello from Cave Creek AZ

You'd probably have to invest in tooling, fixturing, and/or sub-part manufacturing of the 3/8" to reduce your labor $$ cost. $90 for a good part over a $60 semi-functioning part is palatable. You start going over 3x the lesser fuel senders, customers start looking at other options or just put...

    Hello from Cave Creek AZ

Can you rebuild original units, but change the pickup tube 3/8" ? The advent of off the self stroker kits, better cylinder heads, better cams all have increased the Horsepower output of typical musclecar motor rebuilds. We need more fuel to feed that HP.
