Installing Kelsey Hayes Caliper Pistons ?

Drilling a hole in the piston will not ruin the calipers. Pistons will probably have to be replaced if it gets to that point. All the ones that I took out like that, were badly pitted. Dave

Installing Kelsey Hayes Caliper Pistons ?

Here in the rust belt..... some of those pistons can be really hard to remove. What I have done is drill a hole thru the piston(s) you are having trouble with, then tap threads into the piston. Screw a "long" grade 8 bolt with the end rounded off nicely, into the new threads, all the way in...

Just be aware that their are 2 different size "Midland-Ross" Boosters. They are also fairly hard to find as a rebuilt unit, and to get parts for. Power Brake Booster

To the OP Jan. I just rebuilt the Power Brake booster in my 69 B-Cuda. It was the dual diaphram Midland-Ross type. Their are two diameter sizes, for the Diaphrams, 6.250 in, and 7.0 (I think is the other size), mine was 6.250. I searched for a rebuilt for almost a year. Their are none around...

    brake bleeding..WTF?

Open both rear bleeders, and let it drain, till you get fluid comming from each bleeder. Do not let the resovoir go empty. Then bleed as normal. barracudadave67

    bench bleeding a master cylinder

plumcrazy No. I should not leak there. If it does it will make the seals in the booster go bad. Sounds like the rear seal in the MS is leaking. barracudadave67 aka Dave C.
