Where did you get your front disc conversion?

The $105 kit is just the adapter and you supply the parts from the provided parts list, the $495 kit is everything supplied in one kit.

Where did you get your front disc conversion?

I wouldn't why see it would? I don't see anything getting in the way of the sway bar. Your still using the spindles and everything else from your Barracuda. The only thing your adding are the adapters, rotors and calipers for the swap.

    Scarebird conversion

I'm currently getting parts together for this. I did the rear conversion and it went together very well. The conversion uses Chevy Celebrity calipers and rotors and require the hubs to be drilled for the 4.5 bolt pattern. So instead of drilling the hubs all you would need to do it redrill...

Where did you get your front disc conversion?

I am going to do the Scarebird conversion on the front. The rear came out good so thats why I decided to use them again. I just picked up a set of 1990 Chevy Celebrity calipers for $46 brand new complete with hardware shipped to my door.

    rear disc brakes

The set up from Summit uses 87-88 Thunberbird parts. I'm using the Scarebird adapters which uses 1979 - 1990 Cadillac Eldorado calipers and 1982 - 1987 Lincoln Continental rotors. I believe the TSM setup it very similar to the Scarebird set up. Yes that pic is from a Cherokee. If they work as...

    rear disc brakes

I was just thinking!? I was wondering if the backing plates would fit on an 8 3/4? The bolt pattern looks similar to the 8 3/4 housing minus the bottom bolt, if it is the pattern all you would need to do is drill a hole on the bottom. Then of course test fitting everything to see if it would work.

Show your rear disk brake set up

That's a scarebird adapter. Not a bad setup but it will hit the springs. So a spring relocation kit is necessary. They could work with maybe redrilling the flange pattern. They would need to be moved about 10 to 15* upword.

    my drum/disc upgrade(68 dart)

I have been considering using the scarebird setup. How much did it cost minus the price of the adapters? Where did you get the slotted rotors, Napa? How much did they cost? I see you replaced the master cylinder, what kind? Very nice set up you did. Good job!!!!!

Anybody use Scarebird brakes front disc conversion kit?

The only thing I haven't done yet was the E brake. As far as the conversion itself it was pretty simple. Everything was pretty much bolted right together. The only thing that requires any type of machining as per the instructions was the center hub on the axles. They are bigger than the rotor...

    8 3/4 Rear Disc Brakes

I have never heard of the Cherokee brakes swap. But it would be nice if it they were to bolt right up. There are a couple companies that make adapters for a rear disk setup. Have tried looking into that? Its a cheaper route than buying the kits.

    mp brake kit.

What control arms do you have? If you doing the conversion to 4 1/2 bolt pattern then you need upper control arms from 73 - up a body. You need the bigger ball joints that is why you need them.

pics of my wilwood disc brake conversion

I'm guessing that if you need to replace the rotors you have to get them from Wildwood. What happens if they discontinue that setup. What about pads?

What is this going on a 72 Dart? I was just gonna order them from Mark at Scarebird but he doesn't know if there are any issues with springs etc... He states he has never done one on an A Body. Has anyone else done this conversion? I want to know of any issues before I order them.
