One thing to remember is too much spring tension will help wear the shaft/base plate. OF course you want to have enough tension to be safe.

I would be concerned the dryer hose may slow down the velocity of the air. With all the ridges.

Thanks for the replies. I never thought of the fumes from filling. I guess the placement of the tank is no good for putting the filler opening behind the license plate? Has anyone done that?

Hi, I am considering moving/altering my fuel tank filler neck so that I fill it up from inside the trunk. I dont want an ugly locking gas cap, dont want anyone siphoning my gas, and also dont want to blow myself up. What can I do to accomplish this safely? Or should I avoid this?

I am going through a similar problem but with a 2 barrel. When you step on the gas, does the car move forward o.k. then bog? or does it bog right off the throttle?
