Have been thinking for a few years about going aftermarket steering wheel. Do the steering wheel adapters for aftermarket wheels have the master splines? Going to contact steer and gear, then alignment.

Box centered, pulled pitman arm, reinstalled it, slid coupler off and back on, still the same, so I guess alignment is next. Should it be ok to drive 30 miles to alignment shop. Here's a picture of my car. Thanks for the help.

Should there be front to back play in the powersteering pump? I can move the pulley about an 1/8 of inch, forward and back, it is the pulley and shaft that are moving.

The pump is spinning at least at idle and reving it up, drove 18 miles to fill up with gas and didn't hear any squeals that would indicate the belt slipping. Will a pump quit pumping but still spin?

Have it all back together, new hose, and now I can't get the valve adjusted correctly. It is all the ways forward(towards front of car) and still wants to self turn to the right. Adjusting it rearward and it turns to the right even harder.

Think I'm going to take the hose to a hydraulic shop Friday and see if they could make one, and if so how much. Seems like everything I have seen listed is either for slant six. Sorry I always forget to list the specifics: 67 Dodge Dart 273, 2 barrel, I think it has the federal pump. Thanks

Found I have a pin hole in my power steering pressure hose, Where can I find a new one. O'Reillys and Rock Auto show one, but the picture looks different, if it will work that is no problem, but at $188 and $136 I want to be sure. Are there any alternatives? Thanks Aaron

Got the valve off and new orings, but having trouble getting it back together. The part I am having trouble with is the steel part, it will go together easily without the spring, but once I get the spring on it doesn't want to go together. Is there a trick I am missing? Never mind I got it.

I plan on doing this repair this spring. Hopefully it fixes the problem. Would it be easier to pull the steering box and do this out of the car? This is on a 67 dart 273 car, so the steering box is tucked nicely under the exhaust manifold. Thanks

When I rebuilt the front end I set it as close as I could to spec when I had it aligned they said it was right on. Would sagging rear springs have any affect on the front ride height?

Is this a common problem as mine appears to be leaking in the same place.

Looking under my Dart the other day I noticed that the rebound bumpers on the lower control arms are only about a 1/4 from the frame. Would this cause a harsh ride on rough roads? I would like to raise it up some, will I need it realigned afterwards? Thanks Aaron

Can't give you an answer, there was a thread I saw on it here, but looked to involved for me. my ps box and pump both leak and I have been thinking of finding a shop to rebuild them but not sure what type of shop would do that type of work.
