Differences between 70/71 and 72 Darts

what is a running 318 worth

Yup, heads have sodium valves, tapered 18mm plugs (like a Ford), cast iron timing cover with an offset water pump, water crossover instead of exhaust, etc. Of all the ones I had over the years, I never had a request for one. I ended up pulling the crank and scrapping the rest.

    A-body K Members

They made both an aluminum and cast iron 2bbl intake. The Feather Duster and Dart Lite should have the aluminum version. Both photos of the lower control arm are a passenger side. The 904 looks like a '66-67 from behind a 273. If you post the numbers off the driver side pan rail, I can get you a...

67 dart gt convertible V8 production numbers?

If the speedometer is in kilometers, so is the odometer. Maybe Chrysler Historical will have production numbers for export cars?

If you could order any A-Body new? What if question.

I think it includes the hood performance paint too.

I don't see the commando part of the V8 emblem.

Bring A Trailer - ‘66 Dart Convertible 4-sp. Not Mine

It doesn't have the Commando emblem. Where are they located ?

Bring A Trailer - ‘66 Dart Convertible 4-sp. Not Mine

Nice looking car. Mostly stock, but, a couple things missing (certicard holder, fender tag), and some aftermarket parts (battery, gas cap, voltage regulator, jack hold down spring) and the wrong air cleaner decal (Commando instead of the correct Charger). It's an early '66 build from Hamtramck...

Bring A Trailer - ‘66 Dart Convertible 4-sp. Not Mine

Not all '66's with a 4 speed got the 8 3/4 either. I've seen several virgin Formula S Barracudas and other 4bbl cars with a 4 speed that still have the 7 1/4 in it.

What is your car's rarest option?

Yup, I've seen catelog photos of one, but, never seen one in person.

What is your car's rarest option?

Along that line....why were there no '64-6 Barracuda convertibles? They could have based them on the Valiant convertible with all on-the-shelf parts.

What is your car's rarest option?

I mainly wanted to keep it A-body, and so far, I've seen all the options mentioned.......some more than once.

What is your car's rarest option?

I got to thinking about what item I would love to find for my car (1966 Barracuda) that I just couldn't find. I soon realized that most of those items I was able to find if I looked long enough and had enough money to buy it. One item that I still haven't found or even seen a photo of is the...

How about some oddball fender tags?

Interesting, thanks for figuring that out.

How about some oddball fender tags?

I don't remember at this point. I guess I should have wrote it down back when I found it 30 years ago.

    How about a pickup "certicard"?

When I found it, it was in a sleeve in the glove box.

    How about a pickup "certicard"?

    Later ones, yes

    Transmission Crossmember?

Don't most of the later cars have that extra bracket for the exhaust? Either a heat shield or hanger? I'm trying to remember when they started those.....when they began the cat cons?

62 Valiant fender tag for an aluminum block car.

The car is long gone, but, I saved the fender tag just for giggles. I never did get into decoding the toad tags.

    How about a pickup "certicard"?

    Here's another for a D200.

How about some oddball fender tags?

Here's a few more.......anyone know what NAD Paint means?

    Transmission Crossmember?

Not early A. Maybe B or E-body automatic? Someone here probably has one to match it to.

Valiant is no more, Drunk Driver totaled it.

It's fixable, it just takes money......and some parts.

    How about a pickup "certicard"?

The S/O 00600 designation might be a shipping order number, but, that's just a guess. Seems like a pretty short number for that.

    How about a pickup "certicard"?

Oh sure. I have lots of them for the '65-7 cars. This is the only one I've seen for a '71 model.

    Another dash plaque

I didn't bother looking inside a K-car, so, it definitely wasn't in one!

    Another dash plaque

Apparently they bragged about getting a car custom made back then. I can't even remember what car it was in. Found it in a pull-your-own-part wrecking yard years ago and thought it was kind of neat.

    Military plaques anyone?

This is an interesting one that came on a military vehicle I parted out years ago. You never know what kind of cool dash plaques you'll run across!

    How about a pickup "certicard"?

This is the only one of these I've come across. I'm sure there's more out there but, for some reason, I haven't seen another. Not even sure if they still called them Certicards or not, or even if it was used nationwide. It's bare aluminum and I'm not sure what some of the codes and numbers...

    '64 certicards

So many of these got lost or broken over the years. Here's a couple of them I managed to find over the years. Carl Burger Dodge is still around, but, Stanley is long gone. It's a bit strange that they abbreviate California to Cal on the persons address, but, on the dealership address they use...
