I'm doing an x-pipe system right now which may be a little different, I'm running everything from the rear through the x assembly, then doing the downpipes from the front, it looks like I'll have to cut about 3 inches off of them (for the shorter wheelbase) and then I'll add the slip connectors...

Well, got everything today finally, just got the manifolds back from the ceramic coating shop. They went on fine. Now I'm putting the manifold pipes on, the passengers side clears pretty easy but the driver's side looks like it's going to be close with the torsion bar and the kickdown linkage...

Well, I went with the TTi manifold-back system. Just want to get it done and seems like this being my first exhaust job the easiest solution is probably the best. I will post pics when I get it! I got the no-muffler system and my Dynomax Ultra-Flo Welded mufflers got here today!

I might try the freeze-off thing with the old upside-down computer keyboard duster in a can. But can anyone else vouch for being able to run it with 5 bolts? I thought that might be okay since it's a big chunk of cast iron, not headers.

The farthest back stud on the driver's side of my engine was already snapped off when I took the manifold off. The previous builder just bolted it up with 5 bolts. Is this alright and just more prone to leaking or will it cause lasting damage like a cracked manifold or something? If I really...

Do you have pictures of how your mufflers are held up in the back? It seems like the brackets aren't there in mine on both sides (factory /6 car would only have them on one side, maybe?) and I'm about to get a TTI kit so I need to know what I'll have to do to get my mufflers hung.

The spintechs look interesting. I'm thinking about going that route. My main question is, if I get TTI downpipes (or any kind of downpipe), can I use a "header-back" system from there? Do the downpipes end in the same spot as headers would or close enough to use a system like that?

Anyone ever used a Dr. Gas boom tube like This one? Also, anything including the current exhaust is out. I noted 3 leaks within the first 20 seconds and only checking one side.

Anyone try Dynomax VT's yet or are they too new still? They sound like they have the aggressive sound of the ultraflows without the drone at cruising.

Has anyone tried the Flowmaster super 44's? From what I've heard they sound like super 40's without the tinny sound at idle which I'm not a big fan of. From the websites it sounds like the DynoMax and Thrush units sound pretty good! I wish it were easier to pick a good one and know how it would...
