This is where I am at. I honestly don’t remember the part number of the regulator to see if gaskets are available but I need to grab that this weekend. I did a quick google search and it looks like I’ll just need to order the full rebuild kit for my unit if they make one.

I’ll be honest and say that I don’t know what my incoming pressure is before the regulator but it’s a mechanical pump so I would be surprised if it was too much. I have the regulator set to 6.5 lbs and it’s going into my 750 DP.

I noticed some fuel leaking around my pressure regulator and it appears to be coming from where the two main pieces of the body come together. Is it common to replace the gaskets on those or will I just need to fork out the money for a new unit. Picture for reference.

I don’t have a picture anymore of my edlebrock set up but there was an arm I had attached to my linkage that moved the bolt holes to match up perfectly with the edlebrock throttle.

Ill throw another vote on the return line set up. When I was younger I was around a handful of guys that had always ran return lines so I just assumed it was normal and everyone did it.

What is everyone running for their fuel? Braided, steel, some sort of other flex line? I’m about to run my fuel lines and bought some Russel push lock line but apparently that isn’t NHRA approved so I’m back to square one.

The stuff I used was black. Might be a different product and I’m glad what you used worked but mine was useless.

If I was getting shot at I think I could find a lot of things to get me out of the situation but something tells me that wouldn’t work for a long term solution.

When I was doing plumbing a buddy bought a can of it. To test it I put a hole in a plastic water bottle and sprayed it. Filled it up and it still leaked.

Flex seal. That stuff can make a boat with a screen door on the bottom float. LOL

I ran a cheap one for a few years then it started to bind up real bad and I would have to get out of the car and turn it off.

I think he is asking is you are sure you are turning the screw on your regulator ccw instead of clockwise.

The carburetor? I bought it off craigslist for 100 bucks. I don’t trust it and I do not want to show up to the dyno with a carbuerator that I know nothing about.

Don’t know much about the avs2 but I ran the thunder series avs on my 360 for years and it ran great. Picked up 4 mph when I switched to a Holley 750 dp at the track but the edelbrock was my go to for the street.

I think I would deal with the extra few seconds of pumping the throttle and just use a mechanical pump. I ran one for years up in Ohio and even on the coldest of days after sitting for months I was able to get mine fired up after 4 tries. I would not really classify that as hassle.

Good luck. This question has been asked on here a few times and it is tough to get a clear answer. Some guys mount them on the frame rail above the rear tire.

I don't know if mine is paintable or not but about ten years ago I left a gas station with the lid on the trunk. Drove down the road to advanced and they had one in stock that's been working well for ten years.
