Is 950cfm gonna be too big?

thank you for that, I had forgotten that tests of the 4777 650 double pumper (wet flow) actually only yielded an actual 585 cfm, so I would have to agree with you that the 950 flows wet less than actually advertised.

Is 950cfm gonna be too big?

go here, it is a little higher for a modified engine http://www.ajdesigner.com/phpengine/engine_equations_volumetric_efficiency.php an answer of 1 is "Therotically" right on the money" using 6000 rpm and 950 cfm for your 440 shows 1.24 which would be 24 percent too much on the flip...

    holley street dominator plz help

The street dominator that I had years ago was all done at 5500. OK, fishmen, if I remember correctly Holley advertised this intakes maximum efficiency was from from idle to 5500, and that their design was for a mild STREET engine. Pulling past 6500 doesn't sound like a mild street engine.

    low pressure fuel injector??????

Is there such a thing as a low pressure fuel injector that would work for example at 10 psi? I want to install fuel injectors in my sidepipes to add to the size of the flames coming out, and dont want to have to bear the expense of a high pressure fuel pump/fittings/hardware etc.

    vacuum secondary vs. double pumper?

With a 3000 stall I'd be all over a double pumper. also assuming deeper gears than or 3.00 or better with a 25 inch tire or less which would effectively be about a 3.40 ratio, 3.23 would be about 3.63 and so on...

    NOS 100hp shot 'risky?

Read your plugs immediately after the first nitrous pull and for the next dozen pulls if that's what it takes to dial it in. All the bench racing in the world won't tell as much as a plug that is read properly.

At this point I would tell you to start going the basics,a new set of decent plug wires, make sure you don't have a few plug wires crossed, look at all you ignition pieces carefully, do a compression test, check for things like a broken valve spring, bent pushrod etc.

    thermoquad help

9150 is 440 truck 1978. I was working at a Mopar dealership at that time and if I remember 440's in trucks did not have the lean burn. That carb should work on a mild build as it is unless some one had changed out the jets and rods.

Ok, I'm slightly confused. If I run an electric pump at 7 psi with a regulator(using an 850 thermoquad) pushing from back by the tank do I need to do anything with the return line? I was going to put a filter on the return line up by the carb and just leave the other end of the filter open??????
