    Just like you I'm still researching use of nitrous...just read that for plug reading...shut the car down immediately after you have done a blast with the nitrous to get the most accurate plug reading. Many suppliers say that anything beyond 150 shot you should have forged internals.

    I saw this same thing happen on a buddys 396 chevy years ago. I cant remember if it was the intake , heads , or block that had been milled but it was one or the other.

    Buy some dyno time and come prepared to tune it while its there then u have a baseline to work from of things like max hp and torque points then u can tailor your gearing, converter etc around the engine

    Save yourself a 100 bucks check out the transdapt 4695 conversion mounts at Summit for 59.95. They are designed to work with mainfolds or Hedman Headers I have not used them yet as I am several months from my conversion but I have known others who used them with great success.
