    72 Dart Swinger

I get the front end set, back out and go around the block. Tires are either extreme toe in, or toe out. Reset everything, around the block, same result. Ideas? Tie rods? Idler (pitman)? Very frustrating.

    72 Dart

Snake, I'll give it a try. I've been jockying the tie rods to adjust the toe. Haven't tried the upper A arms. fastmopar

Snake, You mean that I should take all the adjustment out of the upper A arm. Pull all the adjustment on the front outward, and all the adjustment on the rear all the way inward. Is that correct? fastmopar

    72 Dart

History: 72 Dart Swinger, 318, 907, 8 1/4. 75 front discs for the bolt pattern. Originally this was a power steering car. I replaced with a manual steering box for clearance reasons. I'm currently running 225/50 15 tires on 15X8.5 American racing 200S wheels. Problem: I set the front end...

Every time I take it around the block I get one or the other tire to go either Toe in or out by a lot. Tire starts to scream (skid)...

    Toein/Toe out

72 Dart Swinger 2dr. I switched from power steering to manual (header clearance). I have tried repeatedly to get the toe in/toe out close enough to drive to an alignment shop. I get it set and drive around the block - no tire howl. Park it. Next time out it's howling. Look at it and one tire is...

1968 Dart Rack & Pinion steering

There are at least three manufacturers out there. Bill Reilly has been extremely helpful with information and support for swapping a 5.7 & 518 into my 72. The RMS AlterKtion looks to be the most stout of the three. It's about $3000 from any of them. fastmopar
