I've got the oil drip plate Instead of the bolt with the hole. some came with the drip plate instead. is it mainly big blocks that have the clearance issues.?

I have a 318 that I'm doing a rebuild on. finishing up putting her together over the next few days. I'll be putting a double roller timing chain in. Should I install the oil slinger for the crankshaft? or am I going to run into clearance issues? Thanks in advance..

i've got a buddy who swears that messing with the timing will help. he did it in his car when he was haveing the same sorta issues, and it fixed the problem. i will do that tomorrow! also going to throw in some water wetter super coolant..cant hurt the engine any.

where do i find a shroud that fits this radiator if i'm not sure what the radiator even is though? I haven't looked them up, but will the numbers on the radiator give me any useful info?

I haven't been on my FABO in a while. Just been driving other cars than my satellite. Still having those Issues though. It does drive fine at 45mph as long as i'm not driving it hard off of the line and stuff, doesn't over heat at all. When it does "overheat" though is when I get on the freeway...

oh sorry. didn't understand what you were saying. the pedal assembly is held on by 2 bolts that go into the floor. And even If I would have removed the pedal assembly, the entire throttle cable would not have fit through the "grommet" on the firewall and this is all on my '73 satellite. I know...

well I bought the lokar cable to replace the stock one. and the stock one had some sort of plastic piece that was 2 pieces that held it into the firewall. I already got the whole thing out and the new one in. I was just saying that so far, that was the only pain in the ***..

UPDATE: got the kickdown linkage all hooked up to the tranny, and the throttle cable hooked up half way. still need to finish up installing everything tomorrow and also adjusting the kickdown..It just got dark really early here and got really cold too. What should have been the simplest thing...
