What ohm ballast resistor do I run with a orange box? (or black box) is it a 1.2? I also see a 1.35 ???

update....i don't know if this helps but I don't have a horn ring. I looked under my cap and I seem to be missing parts. Do i need a horn switch part number 2822126? My center cap seems to firm to push.

I am trying to get my horn to work. Can anybody describe to me how it works under the steering wheel center cap. I pull my center cap and I see a wire but there is nothing to push. Am I missing a part. Is there something in the middle of my cap and the steering column?

do i use the same distributor or is it a complete set with new distributor?

so the msd 6a will just plug in to existing set up?

coil and distributor are new. I ran a dedicated ground wire from the box per the troubleshooting directions with the kit.

If you have been following my plight....my brand new orange box ECU unit was no good. I ended up going to the local auto parts store and got a black box one. (the brand was a sorenson and the part number was el110 i think) I think it would be like for a 72 model. the car started right up but...

talk to me more about that. Do you have a part number? I got the engine to fire yesterday but it does have a terrible idle. I bought this engine just rebuilt from a friend and it has way more cam in it than I would have put in.

update...the center screw means nothing....they just told me that to get me off the phone. After troubleshooting all afternoon I went and bought a new one. Put it on and it fired right up. Man I hate it when new parts don't work.

i called the mopar performance tech line. I told them everything I did.....they were saying you must have a bad box and then he said..."did you put the screw in the center of the harness"? I said what screw. He said put the screw in and it should fix it. I am going to try that in an hour or...

I am installing new electronic ignition in my 340. ( the little orange box on the firewall) When doing this, do I use an internal resisitor coil or and external resistor coil? thanks

no, i am trying to fix the guage. it isn't working.

I took the guage out tonight and removed the fitting on the back of the guage. All the interior pieces appear in good working order. There was a small bit of corrosion on the back of the guage after i removed the fitting. I can't see any hole here where the vacuum would pull from. how do...

aah but that vac guage is soooo cool! I love it. Even if it doesn't work.

ok...i hooked it up to manifold vac today and nothing. where do I start troubleshooting this guage?

Anybody have any experience on the vac guage in the dash? I have my dash out and I am not sure if my guage works or not but I want to be sure before I reassemble. The hands move freely and it looks clean. I tried sucking (no comments please) as hard as I could on the hose but nothing? Anyway...

i found a wiring diagram and I think it is the ignition resisitor although i am not sure of its purpose.

I was working on my wiring tonight. In the engine compartment, drivers side, right above the master cylinder, attached to the firewall..there is a box with two spade connectors comming out of it. It almost looks like some type of resistor. anybody know what it is?
