    Converting to front disks

SBP generally is harder to find and or expensive. LBP is dripping off the curbs.

    Brake Identification Help

Those appear to be Kelsey Hayes dual piston. I do not know the differences in early vs later, but they were used up until 1971 for sure. @hemi71x

Another disc brake conversion question, real 340 swinger

Cowtown huh?! I'm just south of you in the Bridge. I have 98% of a full KH set up that I likely will not use in the near future, but I see you've decided to go BBP anyway. In any case, good luck on the conversion, it's a good one and worth while in more ways than one.

Wow, I'm not sure how much 220in'lbs is but obviously it's too much. I could be doing it wrong for a long time, but I just use tight!

What mopar had 15/16 aluminum master cylinder?

At the recommendation from 340sFastback I ordered one for a 1973 340 Duster with power disc brakes. It is 15/16" bore. I also used 7/8" rear wheel cylinders. This went on my 71 Scamp with manual discs up front and drums out back. It brakes nicely without breaking a leg!

    Front wheels spaced far out

Welcome to F.A.B.O. from another Albertan. Get some pics for us and we can help decipher what you are working with. Definitely sounds weird having a rear disc conv. mounted up front. Depending on what is behind it, it's likely a cheap repair to go back to factory stock discs.

    leaking brake line fitting

I can say after reading this thread I have decided that I will continue to build my own lines and avoid the stainless pre-bent kits. Good luck with the washers, hope it's the fix and you get to run the car again before the skating rink spreads.

    leaking brake line fitting

Did you "double flare" it? Did it look nice and straight? There really isn't much to go wrong, unless for some reason you are running out of thread before it's actually tight.

manual front drum to KH disc swap

This is a quote from 340sFastback in my build thread, and is what I did. Mine are manual brakes. They work great. "I recommend a 15/16" master cylinder for reduced leg effort. Order one for a '73 340 Duster with power disc brakes. It will bolt right in to a manual brake car. 7/8" rear...

Swapping front drums to Kelsey Hayes

That's weird. I took a Kelsey Hayes disc brake setup off my 72 Demon and installed it in my 71 Scamp. Changed the master cylinder as it was drum / drum to a 73 Duster power master without the vacuum assist, took the proportioning valve and the calipers from the 72 and hooked up the lines. This...

1968 barracuda front disk brakes HELP finding correct pads

You will get asked. Big bolt pattern or small? Small would indicate Kelsey Hayes brakes. Big would indicate a conversion. Are the calipers in front or on the back of the discs? Someone here will know what you're after.

    Totally confused.

The same has happened here. All the old has been converted to Chinese manufactured goods. It is hard to find parts. I even have a buddy at a wrecking yard and he has never come across anything yet.

    Totally confused.

It's all good. You will find if you take the time, ask the right questions and have a lot of patience, these guys here will overload your mind with knowledge. I too was used to easy builds, but I'm learnin' that my A-body will be a bit more of a challenge, but will be far greater of a feeling of...

Well anybody knows you should have duct tape not masking tape! Kidding, like plot said it's probably cracked and your not getting proper vacuum.
