B&M makes the flexplate for this application...easy to get through summit. You'll be stuck with magnum heads, but this is a good thing. I have a magnum headed low compression "LA" 360 that runs extremely strong. I'd build it!

They're about par for the course as far as pre-magnum small block heads go. The only heads that are really any better are the 340 "X" heads and the "308" swirl port heads. I sold one of these to a guy on here about a month back, he really wanted it...but I couldn't really see any difference...

I had one that came with my 360 when I bought it. I never did use it...ended up selling it...but just for discussion sake, this is what they look like:

on a stock 318, don't expect too much...now if its an 85+ engine it will wake up real fast with a cam and 4bbl, along with headers. IMHO, the 360 is still better...but if you'll be fixing your duster you should just put the 318 in the Dart.
